@ fils du loup:
Tu as oublié ceci:

In France there are often strikes. Sometimes for a whole week you can't take the bus/the train because there is a strike. That's really annoying but it happens often...

Whatever, you don't have to stick to the reality (if you want a romantic image of France you can't exactly tell the truth XD)
I agree with Mimi Melody for the sprite: the old one is great, but I can't be sure since the new one isn't colored or anything ^^"
Mitchell...is...just...too cute!!!! I will definitely play to this game XD
Good luck!

I have a question if it is not going to bother you, considering the BGs , did you draw it yourself or you downloaded it from somewhere? Because they look just amazing ^^

Yeah ! the strikes ....
It can be fun this is servire of strikes for the scenario.

the heroine is stuck somewhere with her prince!
Oh my god, there is no train, I have to stay with you all night!

for the size of the characters
In France, in 2007, the average height of men was 1.75 m and 1.63 m for women
Whatever, you don't have to stick to the reality (if you want a romantic image of France you can't exactly tell the truth XD)
for many french people paris is a gray and gloomy city!
another idea a male character does not like Paris, he has a picture of the city that is different from that of the heroine.

Ah right! I should have coloured it before. Well, I will post the coloured version once I'm done with it and I'll ask for it later ^^
filsduloup wrote:I think the heroine should visit the place as Pere Lachaise cemetery, instead of trocadero or you have a beautiful view of the Eiffel Tower. But also to show the annoyance of paris, the dirty metro and break the stereotypical idea of paris.

romantic place:
- Trocadero (beautiful view of the Eiffel Tower)
- The father Lachaise cemetery (i know is very strange to have a cimetary as romantic place)
- Boat trip on the Seine

normally people do not dress uniform to go to school, on the other hand has nothing prevents a student to come in uniform if he so desires!

I think that can not have a game on France not to mention three things:
- Wine (a pride for the French, wine knowledge is a sign of sophistication and elegance) the sound a little young to drink wine boys, ca might be fun for the first time for the heroine.
- Bread (a food that is present each meal)
- The French are grumpy

Thanks for the place recommendations! That's surely a great idea to include it!
And the three important things you said... I'll be sure to include it. Since you said it's important xD

Thank you! I'm glad you thought it's amazing! ^^
I didn't exactly draw it myself... I didn't downloaded it just like that. Well, I edited it, you could say so ^^

Oh also! I need you who know exactly how it is to answer these questions~ ^^
I heard that people in French have a long lunch break. Where they usually spend their lunch break? And also, what they usually order for lunch? Does it has to be three-course like appetizer - main course - dessert or just simply the main course?

And I wonder... what kind of sport French prefers the most ?

And um... yeah.. if you can tell me random stuffs about French--mostly Paris, please tell me :3

Thanks!

Well, long lunch break, I don't know, 1h30 is the usual in my highschool, but sometimes I get more than 3 hours to eat (lots of teachers aren't there, or even just because I don't have classes until 3 O'clock...), so yes, I guess we could say long XD
Where? When we have only 1h30, everybody goes to the canteen or to the café, but when we have more than 2h30 I'd say we just go and wander in Paris to find a cheap restaurant (Kebab, Chinese, or even a Café).
What do we order? Usually, most of the students in highschool take a main course and dessert or appetizer and dessert, but the three-course is rather uncommon for lunch (for the dinner maybe, but not for lunch). Since lots of people eat in a Café, it would be something simple: french fries and a steak, sandwiches, kebab,... nothing unusual ^^"

Sports? I'd say that french prefer sports there are good at. Currently, we're not so good in football (soccer) so it isn't very popular, recently there was a rugby cup, it was nice to watch. I don't hear much about other sports. Maybe Handball, but there was a scandal about some faked matchs so not really (but we used to be the best in the world :P ). There is also a bicycle race called the Tour de France, very famous, it ends at the Champs Elysée.

Random facts about Paris:
- Parisians don't smile, there are never slowing down so they can be a bit rude, but when youtalk to them, most of the time they aren't mean or anything...
- Paris is always full of tourists, so even if you try to help people in the metro, you can't be sure they'll speak english... >.<
- To move in Paris you have to use either the metro or the RER, there are strikes, and even if there aren't, RER is often late. There are people checking whether you paid or not to get into the RER. If you use the RER often, it can become expensive to pay for every single ticket ;)
(RER = a fast underground, metro would be like the Tube).
- Every hour every night, the Eiffel tower is illuminated, it's wonderful. *o*
- In Paris, there is the latin quarter, there are renowned highschools, the 2 best Highschools in France (called Louis Le Grand and Henri IV)
- In Paris there aren't really malls, if you want to do some real shopping, you have to leave Paris and go to La Défense, in Puteaux. :) or to Velizy2 or Parly but these ones are expensive...
- Paris is the most beautiful city in the world (I don't have any more ideas for now...)

Sorry, there is so much to tell about Paris, I never know where to start XP

Good luck if you try to find something useful in all this ;)

Here is my looooong post~ (You don't have to read everything, like a lot of French, I tend to write a lot for nothing xD So just Focus on the Main Points)
First, I'd like to tell you that the art attracted me here (Or brought me here...) The caracters are all super handsome, and I already have a crush on the red-headed dude (The Tsundere I guess ? ><) I can't wait for the preview !!! If you need anything, I'll be glad to help~
I'll be stalking you from now on^^

Heu... @Didules: Actually there are some malls in Paris xD
I usually go to "Les Halles" and near Châtelet you know ? And there's even one near Bibliothéque François Mitterand. (And they are not expensive, the cinema is even really cheap at BFM for students, and there are shops like H&M or New Look etc)

But correct me, if I'm wrong:
As for the Metro and RER, the first one comes every minutes the morning and evening (And still it is always so crowded you can't get in, get off and have high chances of falling xD), and every 5minutes the rest of the day. The later is always late or supressed, and I often have to run when I get off from the metro. (Though, if the heroine lives in the center of Paris, she doesn't need to take the RER, since most of the lines takes you out of Paris).
Usually students have a Card to use Transports, because buying tickets everyday is pretty expensive.
And only student from some private schools have to wear uniforme (Usually there's a dorm too then). Even at Louis Le Grand or Henry IV (Two schools where you usually go from elementary school 'till prep school) they don't wear uniforms.

Here I agree with Didules:
At Lunch, when I was in High school, I'd usually go eat outside, and often it was so crowded that we'd have to take our meals (Sandwich from a nearby bakery, mini-pizza, kebab, hamburgers, pasta etc) and eat at a nearby bar. (With babyfoot and billiard)
That's where we spent our time when a teacher was absent.
But you know, sometimes we'd also spend it at the library, on computers or just among the books (homeworks~). Some people would just stay in front of the next class door or in the next classroom if there's no class, if they finished eating. When the weather allowed it, we'd stay on the yard in the grass.
The rest of the time, I'd go to the cafeteria, and the menu wasn't anything special: Salade or Cheez + Meat or fish + Some vegies + Yogurt or Fruit or Ice cream. Water only. Only at the canteen we order the 3 course, since we pay for it anyway. But outside it's only the main course and rarely a drink (Mostly Coke or Icetea if you want to know what's the most popular x)

And you absolutly HAVE to add strikes !! Every year (When I was in Highschool) we would all eagerly wait for the strikes !!! Because it means you won't be able to go to school or be late and be excused !! And it will also mean that even if you arrive in time, the school's gate will be blocked by a crowed of students and sometime teachers. And even if you eventually manage to get to class, the teacher might be absent (Either transports either outside blocking the gates xD)
It's no violent though. The aim is to block the entrance (This is why it's called Blocus). And it happens Twice a year (Almost a kind of tradition xD)
The transport strikes however happen much more often. And sometime you'd have to stay 'till very late at the station waiting for a train, or trying to get in a bus (which are crowded and almost impossible to get in of course)
(During winter and around March)

So you have to remember:
Lunch break: 1h30 minimum.
School: From 8:30 am 'till 18:00pm (Though sometimes you can even only have 2hours/day)
Sports: Girls usually prefered Basketball/Dance/Handball/tennistable. Boys would prefer the groups of Rugby/Football/tennistable/badminton. But everyone had to participate in Athletisme and we'd all go for musculation because... easy marks (You have to chose 2sports+Athletism to be evaluated in during last year for the Baccaloreat about which your whole highschool life is xD).
I think you should read about how the schools work in France. It's quite different from the rest of the world as usual -_-"
Strikes: Often disturbing transports
Blocus: Twice a year (3days or a whole week) school blocked by the student members, some followers and some teachers. Other schools participate too and join the others in front of the main school)
We eat anything, anywhere xD

(And if no one checks the French sentences, just don't put them. It's really ridiculous, and I always feel embarassed for the author when I see someone who's french is "amazingly fluent" when it's actually not. You know ? Like in Dramas or Anime )

EDIT:
About Wine: As teenagers, me and my friends could only drink wine on great occasions (New years, birthdays, Christmas, family gathering, etc) we weren't allowed to drink wine everyday at diner with the adults, you see.
About the names: I really like them, even though they don't sound French. (All of the caracters don't have to be French anyway). Did I already say that the art was cute ? :D

@ Ordog:
I seriously thought about Les Halles, but...it's a bit empty, I mean, a FNAC, several clothes shop and two cinema that's all there is to it... ^^ But around Châtelet-les-Halles there are lots of shops, that's true (near the Rivoli Street). (French time: Sérieusement, les Halles c'est craignos pour une jeune fille seule =.=")
How could I forget about the blocus? XD It's always so funny, last time there were policemen in front of our school to avoid it!!
Now I think about it, about sports: Athletisme : you have to run 500 meters three times, and it can be in every season, even winter!
Ahaha! Every French will agree about strikes (even if we're not the worst country for strikes, it always stops the entire country for a few days!)

(I agree with Ordog about the french sentences: sometimes I can't stop laughing when I see some mistakes, but here I don't think there will be any problem ^.^)

Yeppers!!
During Athletism each year, we'd try to hide somewhere in the bushes (THAT would be a great fanservice situation xD) untill the teachers tells us to take a break (Well sometime only 6people were left which was weird) We'd often get caught, but running 10 minutes in the cold, in the rain or even under the warm sun is a torture).
And then running the 500meters or 250m Dash... I'm glad I've finished Highschool xD (And you couldn't be too fast nor too slow T_T)

Oh yes!! During the Blocus, we had settled a kind of "free coffee and muffins" corner, and we spent the day talking with the policemen and firemen who were there just in case, but hadn't much work to do. Héhé, and of course it was only fun because some of them were young and cute~ (Highschool girls surrounded by cute guys in uniform: During winter it warmed us xD)

You forgot the McDo', the starbuck and some other restaurants. Plus just outside there's some more restaurants, expensive clothes shops, etc... Well, yeah it's not a big mall, but still I wonder why it's crowded each time I go there. Maybe because there's a lot of restaurants ??
@cookiestruck:
I know !! It's not a romantic place, but more like a hauted house: Each time I go there there's a lot of people waiting to visit them: The... Catacombs of Paris xD With my friend we've been there when we got bored and had nothing else to do. I guess it could end up in a quite "romantic" situations if ou go there with your boyfriend/girlfriend~ Anyone agrees ??
Also, if you want to see how schools, streets, places look like, try with Googl maps xD (It's quite usfull if you want to see places you've never been to)

(Sorry, this conversation drifts a bit out of subjects. And we're not even writing in English ^^")
