This is a game i'm creating for a Community Service Project that will be finished By July 20th. If it doesn't, then i'm going to die haha. It'll be like a mini-extended NaNoRenO. It's also my first experience with RenPy!
The main theme of the game is peer pressure in relatively realistic and everyday highschool life. Due to the time limit I can't create my own works so if anyone wishes to draw 2-3 CGs for me i'd be so appreciative!

Rachael [renameable] is a high school girl in year 11 (Second last year of high school). Recently transferred to an all girls school due to it's expansive subject selection pool, she miraculously made friends with a nice group of girls after contemplating a life of lonership when no one talked to her for 2 periods. There's just something about that popular girl in her group though...and that (cute) guy on her train.

The main focus of this game isn't "oh its peer pressure lala" but rather seeing it in action in almost everyday life of a high school student. It's not meant to drag on, it's meant to be fun and not feel like a text book. Trust me, I won't make it one.

Rachael [Renameable]

Age: 16

She's quirky. She's (maybe) honest. And she's your protagonist! Rachael is a friendly girl who wants to be liked at heart, and thinks she's more outgoing than she really is. But in all, she's just your different-just-like-everyone-else teen...Who notices more about people than most do. And knows the Internet very well.

Daniel

Age: 16

Situation: Direct peer pressure.
The object of Rachael's affections after a fated half a second worth of eye contact on the train. The swaying flower in the desert of loud boys. He's not as rowdy as his friends - he's quieter, yet somehow the same as them. But that's OK. Rachael likes quiet guys too. She just wishes his friends weren't so forceful. And that that pretty girl hanging around him would take another train.

Lilia:

Age: 17

Situation: Indirect/Individual peer pressure
Lilia, Lily, Lil' Bug. Cute, bubbly, likeable and everyone has a good word about her. But the more you spend time with her, the more you notice, and the more you're confused. Just why does everyone like her? And why is she so awkward around you?

How do you feel about a visual novel about peer pressure and what not? I'd be updating the thread regularly so stay tuned!

Also, how far do you think the swearing should go in this game? As teenagers they're mouthy, but since it'll may be read by younger students i'm not sure how far I can go xD

As for your questions:
-Peer pressure isn't really a common theme in most VNs that I see around so having this theme actually makes yours look interesting and more likely to stand out from other VNs thanks to the whole peer pressure thing.

- As for the swearing part, I guess that depends on what you think will be the "youngest" player you'll have. However, I think that in this current day, some younger students are even more vulgar than some of their seniors as I've seen in my own school and my other friends.

Does anyone else have anything to say about this? Is a visual novel medium good for something to raise awareness against peer pressure? Anyone have any ideas they wanna share with me? Any comments are A ok!
