I like most of it quite a bit ^^. The colors/shading looks especially nice. But the eyes seem a little off somehow. Maybe it's just because it's a close headshot.

Could you explain how the eyes seem off? Is there a way I could fix it?

So I think I finished Sidney's new sprite! I changed his clothing to reflect the modern culture in Hawaii (There's also a version of him with a snapback lol).
I plan on having the game set in Hawaii so there'll be some other cultural things I might add in (like slang and stuff). Let me know what you think about this. I find it interesting how other Americans feel like Hawaii shouldn't be a part of the US because our culture is so different, but I want to share it with you!

Please tell me what you think! Is there a way I can make it better? Or tell me if you'd like to see different poses in the game. I'm willing to make a few different poses if anything.

Also, since I'm updating, I've got new features...

I finally got around to doing Marina's sprite! It's not final final, so let me know if there's some things I can do to change her. What do you like about her?

Why hello there!

I have not been active very much. I do apologize. School is very important to me, so I prioritized that. I'll do my best to update when I can, but my goal for March is to be able to complete enough for a demo. This maybe unlikely, but we shall see...

I think in my last posts I said I'd have the characters in uniforms, but I decided to change the school setting so they won't be in school uniforms anymore.

I've added some brand-spanking new character cards to introduce the main characters!





Also, you guys wouldn't know because I haven't posted the changes I've made since like 2014... but I've updated the GUI and changed the screen size to 1280x720. Between 2015 and 2016 the game was in 1120x700, but I decided I didn't like that.

That being said, I have to edit the backgrounds I finished drawing to fit in the new size of the screen.. Haha, I just create more work for myself... OH WELL!

it's my last day of spring break, and i just wanted to get something done.. :'D but i still have lectures to catch up on for school.. hahaha

GENERAL UPDATE
Hey guys! Just updating because I won't be working on this project over the weekend. Over the past week I've been working on improving the code, but I'm no pro. I just want to make it easier for myself to read through it all, hahaha.. Also, I've been working on the script. I think the gameplay is about 1 hour depending on how you play.. Other than that, I've added/changed some trivia questions and worked on assets for lessons (which may be pointless because you can skip the lessons..but you know, whatever..)

As for the backgrounds and sprites and CGs, I'm gonna put those on hold for now because I have a big exam coming up on Monday that I must study for. Sorry! I'm just working on completing the demo right now, so the amount of sprites and backgrounds I have to work on isn't much. But we shall see...

GENERAL UPDATE
Hello! I passed my exam! WOOHOO!

Anyway, this is just a technical update, since I didn't get much art work done after my exam..

I contacted the music artist about using their work because I was unsure if I could use it or not. Unfortunately, some songs from a specific album weren't under a license where I could distribute their work in multimedia forms. Not to worry though because I've replaced all that music with new tracks! They work just as well!

I was looking at all the trademarks and copyright things on the official website for the AP exam, and uh, boy.. there are a lot of words I had to replace, hahaha.. That's what I get for making a game like this, right? But no sweat though! I've fixed it all and replaced those words with more appropriate ones. Also, just to reiterate: this game is not affiliated with the real AP exam!

If anyone's got any tips about avoiding any legal things, please help me out.. I want to make sure I don't offend these huge organizations.... :'D I.. don't have any money.. LOL.

Currently, the game has 13K+ words, 38 menus (which include the trivia questions and choices that affect relationships), a music room (sorta.. but I want to improve it more), and much more!

As you can tell, this game will be highly interactive, and I'm hoping you're all just as excited to play this as I am to release this!

With that, I leave you with this...
Each of the boys (and man) have.. removable accessories.. (at some point in the game they can either be wearing the accessory or not)..
but also.. I should say that those accessories aren't the only thing that you won't see on them.......... C;
