Hotel Geist (Ghost Story Otome) Returned to Hiatus!

4/05 My house was broken into a couple days ago. They have taken my laptop amount many other thugs. This means that most of the files from Hg and all of my script is gone. I still have most of the art...I want to continue but this game will be on hiatus until the other issues are resolved. Thank you so much.

What I would like to know:
1. What do you think of the plot?
2. Who is your favorite obtainable character? Why? Least favorite?
3. Should I reveal more about the story such as what the ghosts are/who has what ghost?

Plot:

Ellie Wright, a novelist-to-be, has just left her boyfriend and decided to finally finish her first independent novel. Ellie becomes lost in the back roads of the Pacific Northwest. After being attacked by a frightening entity, she finds herself at Hotel Geist. Trapped by the storm, down phone lines and a totaled car she accepts a job as the hotel's new bartender. Will Ellie find the inspiration she needs to rocket to the top of the bestseller list and maybe start a new relationship? Or will she become another lost soul haunting the halls of Hotel Geist?

Gameplay:

Work your way through four chapters that will center around one of the hotel's ghost stories. The choices you make decide the fate you face.

Ooh, I saw this in the Ideas forums and was very intrigued by it, then almost forgot about it. I am also very pleased to see you have made a WIP forum. ^_^ I'll definitely be watching this game! I am in love with the premise.

Quick question: Is the romance optional in this game? Can you just be friends with the dateable characters, or does building a relationship always lead to romance? I personally like relationship building and learning about different characters' stories, but I'm not that drawn to romance, odd as it is. ^^;; Yes, yes, I know I'm weird.

I'm very interested in this regardless, best wishes with production!

In one of the paths romance does not happen but the main character will build a strong friendship instead. I have not decided just how 'into' the romance I want to get... sorry if that is very vague.

Oh no! That is horrible! Are you okay? I'm so sorry to hear about this. When you are able to start to work on it again, if you do decide that is what you want to do, we will be here, ready for ghostly hotel otome!
