New Blog post today....
So I just got done writing a miniature script that allowed me to delve deeper into the character of Hana, the main character of AIdol. Well, one of the main characters.

I decided to post the script on the official AIdol blog so you can see what my writing process is like. I’ll very likely program it and a few others into a short game, something like a character selection story anthology. The art included is just filler art until the official background art is done, but i wanted to give you a feel of what things look like.

Now, AIdol has some faceless background characters. I'm debating how to have people contribute so the characters can be fan inclusions. Normally I'd let it be a Kickstarter backer reward, but since I'm not sure if I'll be running a kicsktarter. so I don't know. Maybe a patreon reward. We'll see!

Hey all!
I've recently updated the blog but I figured I'd update here, too.

I just wanted to let you know that we have a new background artist.
While I love Badriel’s work, I think it will fit my next game better. Thus, I have contacted an artist by the name of konett, whose work is just fantastic.I believe her backgrounds will suit AIdol to a T. Also, she agreed to work on AIdol with me! Great news!
Please extend a warm welcome to the newest member of our team, konett.
We will be doing the "normal" style backgrounds that she does.

As for the next bit of update...Well, I've got some bad news...
I recently went to the ER and as it turns out, the doctors are recommending that I get another surgery. For those of you who don’t know, I had two surgeries in 2014. They both went well, but the second one wasn’t as successful as we hoped. (We hoped that I’d make it two or more years without needing another surgery. It’s been a little over a year, now.)
Because of my illness I’ve been sleeping 12-20 hours a day and can’t seem to get work done on anything. Because of this, I’ve decided that I’m going to quit doing commissions for visual novels and focus all of my energy on to getting better.
Of course, the surgery will make me feel great, if it goes anything like the last time. So besides getting better, I really want to focus on finishing the script. While I’m awake, anyway.
The surgery will make me feel better, so other than the normal pre-surgery apprehension, I’m actually kind of excited to feel good again. Just gotta hope they do it right this time!

The good news is, I have only two commissions remaining and I’m hoping to get them done before my surgery. That means I’ll be free to work tirelessly on AIdol soon.

...Thinking about the three act structure got me to realize that I hadn’t formatted AIdol in that manner. That prompted me to realize what my problem with writing the story had been all along. There was no resolution to the story that I could figure out. Especially with the the conflict being a bit of a mess. The setup was in pretty good shape, so I set about to fixing the conflict and the resolution fell right into place. I feel much more comfortable thinking about returning to writing AIdol now that I have a solid plan...
