Apologies for the late and nearly half a year's update on the commencement of progress, reasons being our top members (including me) engaged in professional activities and got into some health troubles that took most of our time. Summer is close though so we'd like to harness that energy and convert it into something productive!

To list down the excerpt of the story premise;
"A stranger in a not-so-strange land, a conflict of identity, a tale of two cities - Baden and Vienna, Austria: these are the primary themes of Maienzauber, our visual novel. Presented in a romantic slice-of-life format, the story's protagonist will face both societal and personal challenges as he attempts to integrate into a new, generally conservative environment while coming from an immigrant family. While these sensitive and serious real-life issues will be present in the story, humor and lightheartedness are never far away. The novel will be a heartfelt journey through the present and future, while simultaneously remembering and learning from the past."
Our VN mechanics will be;
- Format will be non-linear visual novel (VN)
- Multiple endings available
- Planned game length is four complete chapters
- Four main love interests in basic version - there will be a future expansion in which an additional two planned characters will be available as well
- Custom user interface and engine
- Full save mechanics as well as achievement perks
Our current progress is as follows;
- Main characters are about 90% of the way through the development process. Approximately 50% of the side characters have been developed as well.
- Storyline is currently nearing the end of the planning phase. Writing will begin by the end of June.
- Artwork is in preproduction stages
- Music preproduction is forthcoming
- Recruitment drive is once again in full swing
