Setting: Erdoo (Err-do), an alternative, fantasy Earth much like Doll*house and Black Doves.

Plot: The Texture Of Love is a visual novel centering around a warrior prince and his blind lover who is condemned to death. They take a journey over the mountain to discover how love truly feels, before time runs out.

This was originally created for a game jam (Nar8) but, I decided to post it here as well. It's coming along nicely. I'll add more info and such later!


Exactly one month woah! The script is now complete and being edited, as well as Abduallah's sprtie ^^ Might add a few more variations after I get the others cleaned up/done.

My first impressions:

1) Noticed the distinct art, liked it.
2) Wondering about the setting. I want to know more about the world of Erdoo... but at the same time, don't want the story to be bogged down by infodumps and unnecessary details.
3) Wondering if there will be multiple endings.

To answer your questions...

1). Cool. I have a... different kind of style, I'm told haha

2). You'll get to know more about Erdoo along with the Kin for sure! I'll try to work it in so it's not info dumpy as much as possible.

3). Yes. I'm guessing four at max. Including sudden death/general bad ends. This VN is on the shorter side.

I'm almost done with the MC's sprite and will be showing it soon! Judging ends on the 31st so, expect the full game or an updated demo sometime in August.

Not sure if I can meet that August date for a full release but, I did finish Abdullah's sprite recently and got the script finished. Still teaking the code and have a lot more to do sprite/potentially CG wise.

Got help with the editing as well.

Your first line has a typo. "How will you're story unfold?" should be "How will your story unfold?".

Other than that, your game looks promising. I'll keep up with it.

@verysunshine Thank you. I thought I caught it here as well but it seems I hadn't >>" So embarrassing haha

Hope you'll like it and try out the demo when you have time. Progress has been slow but, after I find an artist to help with lining and shading, it should be out by the beginning of next year. The writing got scrapped and rewritten after the first chapter but it's coming along as well.
