I need to get clean entire readthroughs. I suspect 5 hours for a single playthrough?

The choices are seriously frontloaded right now, I think need to add more. Like 30/50 are in the first two days before the split, then the last 20 are in the 4 paths.

This doesn't count the mingame sections where you're constantly making choices.

How long is the gameplay for those further full paths?
It's ok if you don't have a ton of choices. People tend to mixup VNs with "choose-your-own ending" types of things.

If you feel the story/gameplay is well-paced in those last 4 routes, then it's ok to have 20 choice things.
But if you feel those routes are actually very long and should contain more choices, then go ahead and add some stuff. Try to put them in places that seem to lack interaction, or after a huge block of text.

Just wondering, is Lynae the only love interest?
You put down that there are four routes, but does that mean four romance options?

Lynae is the only romance option. TPF follows the Sono Hanabira pattern of one couple per game. The paths have more to do with Anise as a person than her romantic relations

The water color style is seriously breathtaking...gives the game an amazing unique look.

Thank you. Everyone who thinks so should tell deji @dejinyucu.

Since I haven't updated in two months I'll say that programming is going on but I don't have anything interesting to update.

I did fix a bug that allowed endgame Anise to sell things at over 10,000% markup, that was fun.

This looks beautiful. I'm downloading the demo now, if you end up needing more playtesters I'd love to be one :)

I really enjoyed it! I knew the art would be beautiful from the screenshots, but you guys did a lot of fun things with it in the game as well, i.e. making the sprites move around and having them blink. It made the game seem more...alive, I guess. I'm not sure if that kind of thing is typical of commercial games (I've only played a couple) but it's the first time I've seen it so it was a nice surprise ^^ the custom GUI looked nice as well, I liked that it fit the style of the rest of the game.

For the writing, I found myself relating to Anise. Maybe it's just me projecting, but I think the feeling of "They don't know I'm gay, and they probably wouldn't feel comfortable changing around me if they knew, so I need to make sure I don't look" is something a lot of gay youth think when it comes to things like locker rooms. Even though this seems like more of a medieval setting, I thought it was cool that in that scene you conveyed feelings that modern gay girls might feel as well.

I look forward to seeing more. I hope that you'll consider submitting it for Steam Greenlight eventually~ Steam is pretty lacking in visual novels so it'd be great to see more get on there :3

I'm really glad you can relate to Anise, I enjoy comments about the writing since I'm the writer. I love feedback both negative and positive. =D

It is indeed a medival, sword and sorcery setting, but Anise's country of Rodan thinks of sexuality along the same level as food preference. I went back and forth over whether or not to explicitly state it and decided to just show it in bits and pieces. So when characters find out Anise likes a girl they'll either not bat an eye or but slightly surprised, like she said she likes anchovies on her pizza. This doesn't really help Anise whose primary problem is that she has a different relationship with her BFF than she'd like.

There are few GxG (only) games out there. Especially ones of this standard - the art is just...wow. That must have been time-consuming.
I'm really looking forward to this (downloading the demo now) ^-^

@moogsparfait-

Just downloaded this and tried to play through it. I get an exception after every screen! Click ignore and it is back to the story, but next click, another exception, etc, etc, etc. I'm using a mac, OS X 10.7.5 The story and the art look very attractive and am anxious to go through it, so any help you can give me to make it work will be greatly appreciated.

That's new...I'll load it up on my mac and take a look. Can you copy the text out of renpy's logs or post a screenshot for me?

Sure, here's the first exception:

I'm sorry, but an uncaught exception occurred.

Downloaded the game on my other mac, out in my shop, it has the identical OS, the same error occurred. If you want more of the exception pages, I will be happy to send them to you.

Just got around checking this. It's nice!

I have trouble looking at the sprites while reading though. I find the gap the names make big.
Will there be a log for previously read text? I find it a hassle to go through all the animations when I just want a quick check. I do appreciate the repeat animation when I've missed some sprite expressions.
The first choice feels random or too early. If I didn't read what this is about, I don't even know what kind of choice I should be making.
Sometimes the ellipses have spaces between them (. . .), sometimes they don't (...). I find it conspicuous.
