Thanks to Deji for cleaning up the sprites. This update enables the darker skins on NPC customer sprites and fixes the "white mascera" effect.
I've re-exported all of them with the cleaned art, you can see the difference here:
Before
After
Additionally, I'm doing a traditional shoujo intro for the game, which you can see me fiddling with here:

I'm really fond of the paper texture you've got on it.

Deji went all out for the art. For this project it was done on physical paper, the texture you see is the texture from the paper used.
I have several paintings from the game on my livingroom wall.
Edit: Thanks everyone for the well wishes =)

The slog, the slog!
I've moved the story programming from 8% to 12%. This represents the past week of work. 4% per week is...not enough. I will have to look into alternative methods or get a lot better at this.
We'll see what the coming weeks bring.

Apparently I only dreamed that I posted last week.
Anyway I've completed yet another 8% over the past two weeks. I'll be hiring some help. Off to the for-hire section!
BTW I have a twitter: https://twitter.com/MoogsParfait
Edit: I have tenatively hired Aleema! =D

Yeah....Aleema is great. Added her to the staff section and updated the numbers. I also got my life back in order and did a bunch of other work. Next task for me is finishing the first minigame.
I wanted to spend the last of the work Deji owed me on an animation, but the C14 chibis apparently burned her out. *shakes fist*

Script is up to 50% programmed. There will be edits before the final, but that's where we stand right now.
I hope all of you have a bright and happy holiday.

Probably! I'll contact you in a month or two when something resembling a full playthrough can be done. Thanks for your interest!

Hey how many choices is a good amount? I initially thought I didn't have enough, but it feels like a lot when you're programming the flags and such. People have said the demo has a good amount of choices too.
There are 50 choices across all paths.

When you say "There are 50 choices across all paths", does that mean that a player will encounter 50 choices in one playthrough of the finalized game?
If so, then I think that's a fine amount. =) Of course, it also depends on the length of the game. Just by simple ballpark, how long do you estimate a playthrough to last?
