SUMMARY
Humans of the Galactic Empire have been at war with an alien race for decades when suddenly all communications go completely dark. A lone sentinel, stationed at the farthest outpost, must make his way back towards his homeworld to uncover what has happened.

9/24/14: this project is waaay back in the pipeline because of the other stuff i'm working on. it'll be a while before i get to this one.

the aliens are creepy critters though, lol. it's hard to get a good look at what they really are. usually just bits of feelers and shiz sticking out of their zombified hosts, heh.
it's a rough sketch for the alien race that the human empire are at war with. they parasitize the host turning the human into a 'bug suit' - a fleshy shell controlled and worn by the alien insectoid.
eventually the host is devoured from the inside out and discarded.
although the story isn't completely finished, it probably won't stray too far outside of the hard sci-fi genre. maybe. dunno. =)
meh, dark matter/energy is annoying and really bothering me. that and quantum entanglement, too. lol.
wish i had time to study cosmology so i could try plugging some numbers into equations and seeing what comes out. ah well.
the weirdness doesn't bother me at all. just something missing from the picture, perhaps ... ; )
