Image
A sci-fi noir mystery adventure game/visual novel!

Free demo located on the official site!
Summary:

Humanity has lost the war against the Selenon, strange beings who awoke from the dark side of the Moon. Now, the Bureau of Human Protection presides over the last vestiges of the human race. The Selenon have forged a mysterious pact - halt all technological progress or be annihilated.

Violet is an agent of SPECTRA, and one of the City's few psychics - humans who were granted the powers of the Selenon. She and her partner Blue have been given a new assignment - find the culprit of a murder. It seems clear-cut, but things are never that easy... especially when they involve the New Moon Resistance, a group of freedom fighters who want to stop the Selenon at any cost.

Trapped between duty and desire, Violet is drawn into a race against time to discover the ultimate fate of humanity, which is inextricably linked to something called "Moonshot"...

Features:

* Investigation and interrogation gameplay!
* Coming to Steam in 2015! (Alongside Icebound, which is also coming to Steam in 2015).
* Psychics, detectives, robots and aliens!

This sounds neat! I'll return with feedback later. :)

Well, it took me a while, but I finally got around to going through the demo, and I'm quite impressed with what you've got so far. I think the writing could use a little work---minor mechanics issues aside, some parts just read less smoothly than they could have, and I saw a sentence fragment in the dossier. Those are just a few examples. I know this is a work in progress, though.

I enjoyed the investigation sequences, and character development is off to a strong start. I'll be staying tuned!

Thanks for the feedback. We are also taking beta testers for Part 1, so if you are interested in that after playing the demo, then PM me.

We are currently looking for new beta testers for Episode 1, both to catch any glitches and for player feedback in order to determine if anything should be changed. If you're interested in being a tester, then send me a PM. Right now we need about 5... on a first come, first serve basis. So if you're looking for a chance to get a copy of a game that will cost at least 5 dollars cashmoney, then sign up now! (You will have to agree to an NDA and provide feedback in return. You will also need a Steam account).

I have tried the demo yesterday and i have to say that is probably the most polished renpy game that i have tested, everything is smooth and i love this kind of game. Remind me both "LA Noire" for the OST/the doubt control and "Phoenix wright" (crime scene, badge, sfx when a person speaks loudly ) and that for the best ! :)

There are small issues I think because during the first interrogation all my answers were wrong even when i was showing evidence but i have still completed the sequence. Is that normal ? :o

Anyway i' m glad to have discovered it, i will probably buy it :)

I'm glad you enjoyed it! If that issue persists in the beta version/new demo version then I will have to look into it. If you get answers wrong, it should take you back to the same sequence, or the game over/restart screen if you run out of concentration points.

Just finished playing part of the demo.

Superb!

I am in love with the atmosphere, the writing is pretty good, and kudos to the composer! This soundtrack is freaking amazing. A couple of things I noticed (I only got as far as the first investiagtion):

1. Mouse Control
It could just be me and the fact that I use a trackpad, but mouse controls for me were horrible. I swipe gently and the cursor disappears. I move up and down and it's all over the place. I plan on playing it again, but the faulty mouse controls almost made me rage quit. It almost did, since I clicked "save" at least 3 times, and found out, after failing the mission, that I hadn't saved my progress. *sigh*

So yeah.

2. Screen
On my laptop (Asus, Windows 8), the screen was stretched to the point that buttons and actions were cut off. For example, during the interrogation scene, the words "question", was barely visible. Hopefully the final game will adjust to the screen settings or give different screen settings so that everything fits perfectly with the display.

3. Violet's Dialogue
At the beginning of the story, Violet comes off as cold. The "lone wolf independent woman". Yet, by the second day, Blue has managed to make her hiccup, even draw her to move closer to him for "warmth" (when they entered the building). I felt like the gap between her and Blue shrunk a great deal, very quickly. Blue seems exceptionally lovable, and based on Violet's personality, I was expecting her to soften to him, but over a great deal more time.

Perhaps I missed something because I saw Blue as a guy Violet knew, but didn't know well enough to be completely comfortable, or herself, around.
Overall, awesome game! Definitely gold.

I played through the demo.

The one issue I had was with with the way the game starts. It's actually a little ambiguous who the POV character is, since she starts off in third person. So you might want to consider tweaking the introduction, or at least the transition to a first-person game.
