UPDATE:
Happy Valentine's Day all!

As far as the writing goes, I've completed another three stat raising events, bringing the total up to 10/18. I'm going to push out a couple more tomorrow before finally returning to finish the first half of Teiran's route.
On the programming front, Bonesy has coded in the new material, including the new options screen. There are a few bugs to work out, but he's looking into them.
First of all, your game sounds so awesome and promising. And as a fellow old school Bioware (Black Isle ) player I really appreciate the concept of an customizable MC (stats, personality etc.). It makes an VN more into a game than simply a novel with some dialogue choices.
Thank you, Amberbaum! I'm jazzed that a fellow old school Bioware fan is interested in VNs and specifically mine!

To also answer the second part of your post, I do plan to release the game on both steam and itch.io when the time comes. It's a relief to hear that someone thinks the project will be able to "make it" commercially, and while I'm fairly confident in how the final product will look, I'm also including the $2.00 option for Kickstarter backers specifically for poor college students/people who might not believe in QC, but still want to support the genre. To acknowledge the rest of your post:
1. I'm likewise a hardcore lawful good/lawful neutral player through and through. Actually, because of this, it's harder for me to come up with appropriate "chaotic" responses for players who are inclined to choose those options. That being said, I don't mind "tough and badass" MCs as long as they act in a way that's reasonable for the situation... I've been lucky enough that I haven't encountered many VNs that took the tough badass approach TOO far. And Miranda is my queen.
2. Noted. I feel like the character I have in mind for the additional route will be more
interesting as a female, but I won't shove it down anyone's throat if it's not wanted, especially since it'll be my first sojourn into GxG anyway.
3. Oh thank goodness! Haha... I don't want anyone to think I'm cheap, but the shipping fees alone for physical rewards would probably eat me alive...
A beta access is a really good idea for people to backing a game. It has it pros and cons. The pros are that the beta access player do most - if not - all bug/spelling hunting for you and can give you immediately feedback on new content. Which leads me to the cons : You will have to deal with..... hm... some demanding people(who are also make sure to remind you that they gave you money

. "You should do this/you should do that. I don't like this/This offends me. Fix it/Take it out." My experience so far with beta access player is that most of them are nice and understanding, so if you think something needs to stay this way because it makes sense to your story, than that's okay.
On another note, I forgot to mention that I like sensible MCs. It's always very frustrating if the MC is very dense and clueless. Guessing half of the story, who is who isn't much fun when your MC just goes "Eh??? No way! I couldn't have known!" ->*Looking at you Dragon Age: Origins, Human Noble Origin*. Another thing that has been milked to death especially by Otome games. Sorry, but this kinda puts me off

.
Yeah, if I offer access like that as a reward, I think I'd probably call it "early access" instead of "beta" since the latter implies that I'm looking for creative critique and stuff. I'll have alpha testers for that on a volunteer-only basis beforehand, since I can't in good conscience ask people to test out a possible buggy game for me, not only for free, but as a
reward. I might be weird for thinking that, though. Haha... Thanks for your comments, Amberbaum! And LOL at your comments on the Human Noble Origin. I love being Alistair's queen, but human noble is seriously the most tedious origin in the game.
Definitely the politically savvy princess, this is the kind of gameplay I mostly enjoy, everything related to political and social things is so much fun. Although, with this many replayability options, i'll most probably play a different kinds of princess each time.
THIS. I am in LOVE with medieval court politics/intrigue, and it really shows in my writing, unfortunately (or fortunately, I suppose). I'm hoping that some of the "intelligence" dialogue options will have some fun stuff for those inclined. Also, sorry if my comments from here on out begin to lose focus or grammatical correctness. Nyquil's starting to kick in...
I don't go through GxG routes but, that being said, I don't want to be greedy (?) and I think a romance-able lady is a better option as it may make the game more interesting to more people as well as more diverse (if we reach the stretch goal, of course).
Diversity is why I'm definitely leaning toward GxG, but so far, no one has really shown much interest in it. We'll have to wait and see.
For kickstarter rewards some ideas (taken from other kickstarter campaign i've followed) could be: special artwork, artwork of your character with a character of your choice (maybe chibis), a signed thank-you postal, beta access. The character insert is pretty interesting, it could go from a name-drop (like "look Lord/Lady *Your name* has bla bla bla") to an extra character with some dialogue (like someone that bumps into the MC or one of the mains characters and there's some exchange of word) to, even, an ascended extra with their own sprite (?)
I'm trying to avoid promising art, just because it involves more work outside of a already heavy workload for the artist, but I might eventually decide to hire a second artist for this purpose. Then THAT will have to be factored into the budget, and... ugh... my head hurts.

For the character inserts, I'll be offering two different tiers: the lower tier will give backers the opportunity to choose the design for a minor character in the game. The character's name, gender and role will be pre-determined, however. For the higher tier, it will be the same deal, only the backer gets to choose name, gender, and the character will be more important, appearing more than once during the story. Both will have sprites.
Well, what more can I say? lol The game presents itself very promising although, of course, i'm trying to control the hype at least until the demo it's released and I can see the gameplay and everything. But yeah I'm really excited, there aren't that many projects with all this features so i'm glad to have found this :3
Haha, thank you! Hope you continue to follow the project, m'dear!
