Did a quick sprite for Aiden to check for things for the actual GUI later. I kind of like it, though it's really, well. Rudimentary. But still, it's something. Blinking sprites are just the start of it, after all-- once I finish the demo, I'm going to be making semi-animated sprites a sort of "upgrade" for the extended version, so I'll have to brush up my... nonexistent animating skills for that.

But for now, sleep.

Almost finished another item in the script to-do list, this time the part where Aiden asks Serlas questions, including but not limited to what he knows about dragon weapons and whether he still thinks about the war that just ended about thirteen years ago. I also got to 6k words!

It's also a Q&A session that changes things a bit (or a lot, depending on your route) down the line! Also you'll get asked things back, too, but while I want to give players some choice, I can't give all-- Aiden is very much a set personality, and he's not likely to be all that decisive sometimes. But yeah!! For example, the questions you ask Serlas can include things relating to your apprenticeship, ie. runesmith/medical runesmith, and so it probably can help a bit later on if you learn more about it.

Finished the Q&A section with Serlas for the first day! The questions in the "About Dragon Weapons..." menu has these options, by the way:
a) How many are in existence, anyway?
b) How come I never see you with yours?

I'm fresh out of ideas on what to put in these parts, ie. I don't know what people like, and this is already very filled with a lot of minutiae of world-building, so I will most likely accept suggestions from when I release the demo.

I don't think Serlas appears all that often, at least once you get out of Auverdyn, but he sure is complicated to sprite, if only because I separated the braces, jacket and vest on the file...

Also am working with the main menu. Here's what it looks like so far; haven't finished the art, though.

I really need to revamp the first post with the new designs but it's Yaoi Jam and I'm working solo so I really shouldn't waste time on things like that for now... But... It's not really representative of what things are at this stage either.

Aiden is so awkward that even my friend (who made the music and has access to my Renpy folder for Kinghearth) just feels intense secondhand embarrassment from reading the VN. SMH

The art style on this as a whole felt a bit... simple, sometimes, but I suppose I AM a one-person team, and I do have quite a bit to draw. And this IS still just the very beginning. So I'm glad that it's not too bad!
