Hi everyone! I've started a new personal project...
The Owl-Woman Oracle is a virtual tarot card reader built in Ren'Py.
Planned Features:
- Player chooses a question to ask the Owl-Woman and receives an answer based on the card drawn
- 22 individually illustrated Major Arcana tarot cards
- Animated interface modeled on antique fortune teller machines
- Gallery screen where the player can view the cards they've encountered
- PC, Mac, Linux, and Android versions
I'll be keeping this thread updated with new art and information as I go.
Thanks for reading!

I worked out a production schedule tonight, and I think it's safe to anticipate an October 2017 release.

Today's small victory was getting Owl-Woman's randomized blinking animation up and running. Have a look: https://youtu.be/qi_wGzgMgFw

The cabinet the Owl-Woman "lives" in is done and implemented in the code, which means I'm about 3 weeks ahead of schedule in terms of art and programming! Check out the whole set-up with all its little animations here: https://youtu.be/yGXZBYEGCxI

Really cool, and I love the idea. I used to give my friends reading back in highschool so I'll check it out when it's done. Best of luck, can't wait to see it!

@Googboga, @Shagwrath, and @Morhighan - Thanks so much for all the positive feedback! ^_^
I had off work for the holiday, so I got a big chunk of the game's programming done today. The randomized card draw is fully functional now - just lacking the final text and illustrations.

Wow, three weeks ahead of schedule? That's impressive. ^_^ All of the animations look great together! I like the crystal ball animation a lot.

Oooh, I'm interested! I'm starting to get into practicing tarot reading myself, and I'd be interested in something like this! Good luck!

Re: The Owl-Woman Oracle [tarot reading simulator]
@Zelan - Thanks so much!
@Caveat Lector - Cool! I'm pretty new to tarot reading too. My goal for the project is to deepen my knowledge of it.
Tried out an idea for the card faces today with some filler art... I'm trying to keep the "frame" around the main illustration fairly simple so it doesn't overwhelm the image.
