I'm glad you all enjoyed the April Fool's video, thank you for your compliments. I stayed up all night to make it though...which messed up my sleeping schedule...go me orz

This April Fool's video was brilliant! XD Hahaha, also, it actually be really funny to see a legitimate spin-off comedy type of thing like that.

The idea came from the first chapter of Subarashiki Hibi (Down the Rabbit Hole I) where the game's pretending to be a yuri SoL comedy before you trigger Zakuro's ending and unlock the actual story. It was a very cruel way to start off a very sad and creepy story once you looked at the chapter in hindsight...

So, this is essentially a lite version of that. April Cruel's. :3c

Update: we've moved from sketching CGs to full on drawing the CGs. Writing progress has slowed down significantly as a result, but it's better to have most of the CGs done now than to rush them all right before the release date.

Weekly update! There's not much to show because everything that's been completed is in spoiler territory. A small CG snippet preview can be viewed on the weekly update here.

One important thing that's been done is that Nyn's hair has been fixed so it matches her sister's. I accidentally shaded her hair with the wrong color when I first made her sprite because of an eye dropper misclick. Normally I would've brushed this off and fiddled with the contrast a little, but because of the twins thing, it's a lot harder to hide it like that. I had to opt for a redraw and reshade since I flatten as many pieces of the sprites as possible when making them to save space and my eyes, which meant I was unable to simply lock transparency and recolor the shading.

I'm sorry to hear that the release date had to be pushed back. :c That must have been extremely frustrating for you. But it's good that progress has picked back up again! I'm very excited to see the final product, I remember being super interested in this when I saw it last year.

Aaaah! Aaaah! We have to delay it for a week, but then I promise it's going to release for real. I'm serious. Better to have a good, thoroughly QC'd game out and survive rather than die shortly after megacrunching to release an untested game.

Congratulations! I'm positive that all of your hard work will pay off. I'll be sure to set aside time to play this. And of course, QC is super important. I completely understand delaying so that you can go through testing (unlike SOME triple-A companies amirite?).

This just in: Soundless has reached the beta testing stage!
Game preview screenshots will be put up on the site later today.
We are on track for release this Friday.

Since the game is short and sweet and contains no choices, I'm confident my beta testers will be able to complete their work before the game is scheduled to go gold.

Hi everyone! If you follow our Twitter then you probably already know this, but earlier today our beta testers got back to us and provided excellent feedback! We'll be doing quick touch-ups to the game before we go gold, and we are still on schedule for release on the 29th. When we go gold (or something goes wrong), we'll Tweet it out first, so be sure to follow our Twitter to be on top of things.

The exact time the itch.io files will be unlocking is September 29th, 8:00 PM PDT. For those who prefer their times in Coordinated Universal Time, that would be September 30th, 3:00 UTC. We will also post a new thread in the "Completed" forum on release time.
