Hello everyone!
Some may remember that this was originally a short term project. As far as it went the plot gained some weight and now it is over a half year since we started developing it. We hope we would be able to finish the game within the next half year.

Progress:
Outline: 100%
Scripts - early draft: 90%
Scripts - final version: 15%
GUI: 30%
Sprites: 80%
CG: 50%
BG: purchased (and edited as per our needs) from dlsite.com
Music: from jamendo.com
Programming: 20%
---
Credits:
Concept: Tessith
Lead writers: Tessith, CelinaRose
Support writers/editors: Harukanami, Fenwin

Sprite and CG artist: Lairis
Art director and editor: Tessith

GUI: Tessith
---
Questions:
1. What do you think about the concept of the game?
2. What about the characters? Do you like the art? Do you find them interesting?
3. Would you be interested in playing this game?
4. Any suggestions what would like to see in the game like this?

Thank you for your time, I wish you a splendid day~

EDIT:
16.1.2017 - Sprites are almost done~
23.4.2017 - New logo, GUI, Kyrian's sprites are finished
29.8.2017 - The thread is reconstructed, Catherine's sprites are done, a preview of the gameplay to be added soon

1. Vampire stories are usually popular (I've made an adults only one and it was well received by those who are into that sort of thing).
2. I like the main female character.
3. I don't see any problems with a game that focuses on a single relationship (I've made a couple).
4. I might play it (much of my time is spent making my own games).

I hope you enjoy making "Dire Love"
Some of my visual novels are at http://www.the-new-lagoon.com. They are NSFW
Poorly done hand-drawn art is still poorly done art. Be a Poser (or better yet, use DAZ Studio 3D) - dare to be different.

It sounds like "girl meets noble who's not quite human." Talk about the fictional world when you have time. Is there real magic and fantasy creatures? If so, then how many people know they exist?
Tessith wrote:3. How do you feel about a game focusing on a single relationship rather than choosing multiple routes?
It's fine. Focusing on a couple might help your story stand out. Do you want to avoid concepts such as "obligatory love triangle" or "protagonist needs to choose the person they want"? Consider what you want to say.

(Incidentally, there are hundreds of VNs with only a single hero, and over a thousand with just one heroine.)
Tessith wrote:The point of this game, besides entertainment, is actually to send a message about building relationships.
If one of your goals is "I want to convey a message through my story," that's fine. Think about how to accomplish it. What fiction have you experienced which you thought told both a compelling story and sent an impactful message? While you're at it, think about fiction which you've experienced which did not succeed in both aspects. Was the story too didactic, perhaps seeming like propaganda? Did the writer's intended message get lost somewhere along the way?
