Hotel Simulator [Comedy/Romance] Kickstarter

So the short of this is that I’m a game designer turned programmer turned writer that enjoys creating funny and somewhat self-aware games that have time management mechanics.

The games main premise is that you have to manage and cater to your guests, you do this by paying attention to their personalities and interests. Then respond accordingly, does the celebrity trying to get away from it all want to be talked to? Is this demon horse in the mood for a slice of cake? These types of decisions. On top of choosing what to say in conversation you have the option to feed or participate in activities with your guests. Then through these further investigations of character they become consistent guests as you expand your hotel.

It's not currently in the demo, but this idea of consistent relationships with your guests is a place where the more romantic elements would come in (Romance going both ways as the character is written to be fairly gender neutral). Those being optional of course.

With all of this character and demonic shenanigans is Query-Chan, the sentient AI of sorts which will guide you on your journey through these turbulent times. The game is not very lackadaisical about its time management, should you not be able to meet your weekly payments to a certain otherworldly being. There will consequences and game over screens to be seen.
Image
The otherworldly element comes in the form of a portal that leaks out people and monsters into your hotel. Who may or may not want to stay be a guest. You get to a point where you can venture through and gather resources to take back to the hotel.
Image
This is done mainly through small events, that involve you making a trade off decision or turn-based encounter. The turn based aspect is an aside you can choose to invest in should you feel like it.

That's pretty much the sum of it, it does have an overarching plot involving some cthulhu like beings but the hotel guest character arcs are the bulk of it which range from funny to sad.

If it seems like your cuppa tea then head on over to the Kickstarter page for a link to the demo and more information, the basic tenants are in but I'm open to what you guys think of it.
