Hey guys. Unfortunately I have life stuff going on (again) so we’re putting T&T on a temporary hiatus until I have things figured out. It won’t be too long, though! I hope haha...

I'm back!! I have my life in order and my writing mojo has returned!~ I hope people are still excited for this?

So I just found this game (I've played C&C) and I wanted to let you know that I am hyped for this! I noticed nobody replied after you returned from hiatus so I didn't want you to think interest wasn't there.

Hey everybody! A quick update here about what we've been working on.

There hasn't been much going on art-wise, but that's because we're focusing on the writing! And there is a lot of writing haha. So here's a rundown of what's being worked on and some of the numbers we have right now:
5/17 Salem events completed!
30/36 Side character events, we're almost there!
We've decided to add some misc events, too... So we're at 0/31 of those
And in total we have 35/121 events completed!

As for the ingredients and potions, here are the numbers as of when this is being posted:
38 ingredients
55 potions

Anybody have any ideas for potions that could be interesting? We might be able to throw some in

Another update!

Started on the save/load/delete screen GUI, and I think I'm almost where I want to be with the design. And I just have to write two more scenes and the side character events are finished!

I'm really excited to see how this turns out! When is it expected to come out? Hopefully a few weeks before Halloween!

Unfortunately, and realistically, it probably won't be out until after Halloween because we had to take a short break a little while ago

Though we're still working hard to get it done as fast as we can, while keeping quality! I'd estimate, and this isn't a solid date, but maybe sometime in November/December? It'll be like the Nightmare Before Christmas all over again haha!

I'd love for a Halloween release but yeaaaah... maybe if we hold on to it and really polish it up for next year xD

Neil's scenes are DONE! I will be starting on Muffy's route next! I hope to get it done in a couple of days.

Thanks! We're slowly getting back into the groove of things and the progress is going well! Hopefully the potion making system will be fun!!

1. What do you think of the game overall?
Looks like a really fun idea! I love Halloween and witchcraft and potion-making!

2. Does the gameplay entice you?
Yep!

3. Who's your favorite character?
I love Muffy because I'm a sucker for vampires and also women, lmao. I really do like Abbadon and Lawrence, too, but at the end of the day, Neil's definitely the best and most relatable. Like, Neil was me in middle school. SOBS

4. What would you like to see from this game?
I would love a cool potion-making mechanic! I'm assuming this game will be pretty cutesy, but I admit I really do like thrilling "bad" endings. Most importantly, I just want good, interesting, nuanced characters with well-crafted histories and storylines, but I'm sure that's a no-brainer.

5. Would you support a kickstarter for this?
I'm pretty poor, so I don't know, but I'm sure other people would. I would love to buy the full game though!

6. Any other comments?
Good luck with everything! I loved Plain, so I'm sure this game will be lovely, too!

Progress update:
We're still only working on writing rather than art! But the writing is going well!!

So far we have 20/50 main character/romance scenes done and in total we have almost 40,000 words written! We're making a ton of progress and should be done the writing sometime in late October! So the game won't have a Halloween release, but it's still a cute game that can be played at any time of year!

We also have three proofreaders as of right now, and the two of them that are on the lemmasoft forums are thornbush and runadial! So please welcome them to the team!

Ahhh! Hey Mythee

Yeah we have over 120 scenes planned out and hey, who knows, we may end up adding more knowing us haha ;_;

We're having a ton of fun working on this game! Toil and Trouble has become like a. . . massive. . . baby.
