SYNOPSIS
Panzer Hearts is a visual novel filled with romance and adventure. The setting is an alternative WW2 where the Third Reich is replaced with a war mongering “Empire” that is terrorizing its neighbors. The Empire has been in existence for a long time and it’s architecture and mythology combine European and ancient Egyptian themes into a unique concoction. The young men and women born and raised in the Empire see the war of aggression as justified. In our protagonist’s case, a chain of events and a cry from his past make him question his loyalty and his side on the conflict. The game contains a minigame where the player gets to build WW2 tanks.
In Panzer Hearts you take the role of a young soldier, Bastian. Wounded in battle,Bastian gets a second chance to serve the Empire in a factory producing tanks. Some of the people in the factory are linked to Bastian’s past and some to his future. They say love is blind, but in this case love and where it leads our young protagonist can completely change his future and the course of the war.

1. What do you think about the plot and the feel of the game?
Well, it's definitely unique. I like history, so it's interesting to see a game set in such a rough time period in history. What gave you the idea, if you don't mind me asking?
2. What do you think of the alternative WW2 setting?
I like the idea of alternative settings. It makes it more unique instead of just being the same ole same ole every time.
3. Do you find the characters interesting?
They all seem realistic in terms of setting. Konrad and Astrid are the ones who seemed to have stood out the most to me.

Thank you for your encouraging comments kistnerelizabeth!
The idea channeled from our passion for war history. We thought games often give too narrow of a picture of the terror of war.
The visual novel gameplay lets us build a unique war game where the focus is on the young people who experienced those times, not solely on the fighting on the front. We also wanted to bring the visual novel game closer to western audience and we figured WW2 is the perfect setting for that, as that might just be the most popular topic in our culture. We wanted to keep something vital from the Japanese VNs (dating) and bring something new (war history, social critique).
Panzer Hearts is a story written by an award winning indie author Karri Liikkanen. Panzer Hearts is his first game manuscript.
The idea and concept of the logo is great! If you want to make it better, you could try using the same style in all elements now the text seemes a bit different from the frame of the heart and the inside of the hear looks different from the rest. If you want to try that, it will be even better
Have a happy day!
