My apologies for being late this time. ^^ We have this nice tavern with two empty, ugly paintings inside... What would you like to see in their place?

For the painting, maybe depicting local legends?

I can't wait to play this game. <3 I'm a sucker for pixel art and I've got to say this one looks very nice. People have already given their opinion about this, but I'd like to say it too... It doesn't bother me if the game doesn't include romance; in fact, I would be very glad to take a break from otomes and all the such. Moreover, if it doesn't have sexual content it's even better, I tend to find it awkward.
I'm also happy to see you're including animations in your game! Not only does it look prettier, but that's something I would also like to do if I ever manage to make a visual novel, so it would help to see how other people use it in their own games.
I love the way you decorate houses, it's pretty much how I do it as well haha! Some flowers on the ground or inside some pots would be lovely, unless there is a reason I missed not to have any.

If you didn't decide yet and if it's not too demanding, I'd say the bottom one but with the sky from the top one

By the way, if you ever need some inspiration you can check out the game Manyland, I think it's a great help when you need to think about how to arrange things or see other things in a pixel world. Good luck!

Edit: I forgot to ask, and I don't know if you already answered this, but is it necessary to have played your previous game in order to understand this one?

Thank you, Bobipicolina! Who knows, maybe one day you will make a VN by yourself? I saw your DA gallery and it looks like you could pull something very unique off. ^^ And thank you for your suggestion, I definitely should add some more flowers inside the houses!

You definitely don't Need to play The Tavern to understand the action or the setting of Windy Meadow - I've written everything as if the player encounters this realm for the very first time.

I'm preparing to make a very cool ScreenshotSaturday update, I hope I won't disappoint you with the game. Thank you for your kind words!

Windy Meadow, a quiet evening in the Tasty Claw tavern.
We haven’t finished making all of the required graphics yet, but the game itself finally gets close to its final form.
In other words - we started filling many of the in-game areas with their inhabitants. : )

A small “behind the scenes” update:
In “Tales From Windy Meadow” Iudicia, one of our protagonists, has a younger sister - Firma. You can see some similarities in their portraits, though they are not identical.
Iuidicia looks more like their mother, while Firma took after their father. Isn’t this clever?
Now here goes the funny thing: our graphic artist didn’t even notice this feature while she was designing the characters. Apparently, it just turned out this way.

I may not know that much about medieval weaponry, but I did my homework about medieval books for my fantasy realms. : P Here are a codex, a wax tablet and pieces of old parchment. : )

One of the first things our writer really wanted to make for Tales From Windy Meadow was the candle-making scene. The comparison of the old village building vs. its reimagination really shows the long way we now have behind us.
