Time Remembered {furry} {Gay} {Romance} {Drama} {Dark/Noir?} Wip

This is a small game, about two characters that have different abilities, the main character has the ability to remember everything without any issue (Alex), the other character has the ability to control time, Darius. Darius had his heart broken recently, and Alex had his heart broken a year or two ago. But because of his ability he's having lots of trouble getting over it. An Event kind of brings them together, and they start to depend on each other for stability.

Misc Info:
This game is honestly a game just to get myself out there and get a feel for things before I get my main products out there. I kind of want to leave a good first impression that really makes people say, that wasn't bad/ pretty good/ unusual. Despite saying this, I'm trying my best to work on this between college classes and work. (Long crowded bus rides to college? Perfect time to draw on the ipad.)
The game is intended to be rather moody, since the few times I show my art and portfolio pieces a lot of people say that I do better with dark art. So I decided why not go for my strong suit.
For the most part I want the entire game to have unique sprites that rarely reoccur.

Darius is a creative Extrovert, that likes to poke and tease at people. He can paint, cook, even sing to some degree. However his general fall is that he can poke and tease too much and can even be too clingy. That and also, he can be selfish. He's the type that worries about how people think of him, so someone insulting him saying something small, like calling him stupid, eats at him a lot more than you think. Because he can control time he does things at his pace, and is generally not worried by anything. Doing something dangerous doesn't even phase him.

Alex, He's more or less the protagonist.
He doesn't have official art yet either. Just a few sketches in my book. After he had his heartbroken in order to try to 'forget' about the pain. He tries to just overwork himself to the edge, to the point he kind of starts to hurt himself. Like his house is a big mess, He's not eating healthy, he doesn't shower too often. He's practically a genius with the ability to just remember anything (Basically photo memory I think it was called.) Though he ended up working as a coder at a company, since he wasn't too interested in being this multi-millionare character. He thinks things through much more with his mind than his heart.



Release date?
I'm hoping sometime in May honestly. These backgrounds take about a week to do each. And then I reuse them and change it a bit, which makes it easy to have many backgrounds without having to really make a new one each time. And of course the game is supposed to be short to begin with. Since this takes an artsy approach at things which helps me Cut time dramatically, I think releasing this by May shouldn't be too hard.

Thus far I intend to have on ending as opposed to two. Later on I plan to make another ending, but that's really not my goal as of now.

I made this thread in hope of getting my game out there and advertising it... Also just to get some questions answered.
And possibly finding a musician, however as of now, I'm not quite ready to find one. Just want a quick check at what kind of people are out there... The music genre I want this game to have is ambient/ Lo-fi. Sort of like Silent Hill 2: (Honestly was listening to this way too much two weeks ago when I started the project)

Questions:
I'm actually looking into animating this a bit. (I've never animated however, especially since I'm going to basically make Keyframes anyway XDD {Or at least I think I'm making keyframes}) But I'm curious to see if you think animating is really important or not? However, I actually don't have software for that. I'm about 50% sure that if I learned to use free software and given a bit of time it shouln't be too bad.

Any tips on how I can advertise this, I don't want to put down too much money on advertising since it's such a small game... But, if need be I don't mind spending some cash.

And of course just looking for a general opinion.

Where can I set up a site without too much trouble Paying >.> Wix is cool, just have to pay to remove ads which looks kind of bad.
