So I downloaded Kidnapped!!! yesterday, and made a point to play it tonight. As is my usual ritual with games that look thriller/horror-y I made sure it was night, turned off all my lights, got wrapped in a blanket and began...
I was sooo in the mood for something dark and suspenseful, annnddd then I was puzzled, but then I smiled and laughed with relief!
I was not expecting the whole thing to be a prank! It's funny because I thought I'd feel cheated but in fact the relief that the protag(me) was no longer in this life and death situation and never was in any real danger (unless there's a set route where it ends up being real, I tried multiple options however) made me expectantly happy!
Was that what you were going for? If so you succeeded completely. It was a short ride, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.
