Hello everybody! I'm so so excited to tell you guys that Café Rouge is coming back, on CloudNovel, as CloudNovel's first commercial game! It will be available for free with in-game purchases on CloudNovel or downloadable (Windows or Mac) on Steam or Itch.io for just $20. To play online, it'll only cost $5.00 to purchase 1000 cloudnovel points that will give you enough points to unlock every feature in the game! To unlock every feature without paying in-game purchases, just purchase the downloadable version on Steam or Itch.io for $20, and every route and bonus features will be unlocked.

The only thing different in this 2020 remake is the brand new character art (and slightly rewritten story to fix all plot holes, THE MYSTERY WILL BE REVEALED FINALLY)!!! The artist who is doing the art for Cafe Rouge has worked for Rejet (creator of Diabolik Lovers) and Otomate (PlayStation 4, PlayStation vita, and PC otome games company in Japan)

For those interested, or who don't know Diabolik Lovers or Otomate, they are very popular brand name otome games in Japan. I am PRETTY sure if you are an avid otome games fan, you heard of them.

So for those who don't know Cafe Rouge, it is an online flash game created back in 2012. I created it back when I was 18 years old, and it grew viral with 1.6 million plays. The video trailer with original 2012 game is below. I didn't finish telling the story because I grew bored of it back then, but now I'm ready to remake Cafe Rouge on CloudNovel, fix all the plotholes by rewriting the story (most of it will be the same) and use brand new art from artists who've worked on professional otome games from Japan. This will be CloudNovel's first commercial game with in game purchases! Or you can buy the full game without any in game purchases, with everything unlocked on Steam for $20.

Quick question. Will the 2.79 purchase for 1000 points cover the whole game or just a route? Personally I'm willing to pay whatever, I was just curious if it would be a one time purchase.

It will cover all 3 routes!

I've typed in half of chapter 1 into CloudNovel, here is the story map/tree branch of the story so far, as you can see it covers Ron's and Valen's introductions. I will work on Antoine's introduction and finish chapter 1 tomorrow.

In total I counted 309 pages of cafe rouge, and today I finished 7 pages. So it'll take me 44 days to put in all the writing into CloudNovel with my writing revisions. That's okay, the artist says that they can't finish all the art without at least 7 months time, so we have to wait till fall or winter 2019 for Cafe Rouge to be released anyway. Aaaaaah this project is going to take a long time to finish T_T

Okay so there have been some questions on twitter whether or not we will open up routes for the other characters.

We will for SURE have a three main date-able bachelors/love interests: Valen, Ron, and Antoine. If this game is successful and we get a lot of popularity, then yes we will open up other routes, including the girls, to make it into an otome with yuri options. That way it'll be an otome game AND a yuri game. So you can date Candice, Adeline, Diane, and even Mrs. Michaels. I'm not opposed to making other routes for the game if enough demand is there.

But that really depends on whether we will get good popularity for the game, and whether it'll be successful.

Ad the characters are looking awesome, and I really want to know the artist :>

Cafe Rouge was one of the first visual novels i ever played and i loved it, so seeing this makes me super excited!

Yes the artists are a group of artists from Asia who work for professional mobile games and companies for Japanese playstation games. I will post their facebook and other social media sometime on here so you can check them out (they are real professionals )

Yes back then the story ended at chapter 7, I will be continuing the story and give it a proper ending this time for all the routes.
