Hi.
Some of you may know me from my deep-dive VN vids.
Last year I found myself jotting down scenes that started to compile into a story.
I showed them to some artists and we started to get sprites.
This year I got a team together and we've begun the journey.
Our composer is making epic music (I hope to have a teaser vid out soon to show it off).
The Act 1 is roughed out and being refined.
Our coders have been experimenting with a fresh visual approach.
Our BG modeler has been making a 3D model (obviously) of the house so we can create BGs at nuanced angles and panoramic sweeps.
It will be a while before we have anything publicly accessible, but
I had A LOT of concept art that I've been leaking along with game stuff onto our reddit and our twitter.
We have a discord, but that won't be public till after we release Act 1.

It's difficult to answer without spoiling.
I can say (spoiler:
It is a romance with comedy, and a very dark underlying issue.
)
After going over the full story plan with one of the proofreaders, their reply was: "I hate you, and I love this."
The visual novel will be presented (spoiler:
In 2 parts. The 1st part is more romance / comedy. The 2nd part more action/adventure with a drop of horror.

I've looked at your social media accounts and still have no idea what your game is, except that it features catgirls
Haven't forgotten, working on it.
Too many"irons in the fire" at the moment.
Script, punchlist, script, reference sketches for characters and locations, script, laundry, script...
Spent all day Sat with the sprite artist, and all day Sun with the BG modeler.
Tomorrow is the Composer.
Then I'm going to take a nap.

More really excellent music just came in from our composer:
- clever + subtle mixing where instruments swell and pan left to right as characters move about in the scene.
- an instrumental detuning at the end of the phrase to emphasize the mood of a scene.
- neat instrumental voicing: shakuhachi, shamisen, beatbox percussion.
I hope to have another speed paint vid out this weekend teasing more OST.
