SUMMARY

“If you were in a story without meaning, would you try to give it one?”

Clara (renameable) starts community college with little idea of what she wants in life. When her best friend decides to join the college's Paranormal Club to keep it afloat, she decides to join as well. The club members are interested in the ghosts of Mariposa del Sol, a building slated to be torn down in spring due to various tragic accidents. However, Clara finds that whatever is haunting the building is calling for her. And unraveling this building's mysteries may lead to her unraveling herself.

Thank you! It's fun to see people like Foster since I didn't think he'd be the one grabbing attention. Hopefully I'll have more to share about him soon!

Moving on to the update, I was hoping to have more done for this, but my computer broke down in March;;;; and I had to buy a new one. I'm relieved that I didn't lose any files, but I also didn't get that much done.

Firstly, meet the "secret route" character :

I'm going to be editing the character sheets until I make one I like, so excuse the inconsistency. When I do eventually settle on one, I'll edit all the ones on the main post. Not a major priority right now, though.

Writing-wise, I'm just over 17k. That puts me about 2/3rds of the way through Foster's route! I've also been switching between the Quincey and Ozul's routes when I need a break from Foster's, so I have the openings for their routes so far.

Finally art-wise: other than doing Camila's base sprite, I have super rough thumbnails of some of the CGs. Most of the art is in the rough stage and it also isn't a major priority right now since I do need to finish writing to gather exactly what I need for CGs/BGs.

Anyways that's this update! Hoping I'll have more to share next time!

Hey guys! Happy October, it's been a while, but I have been working on Memory Ghosts! Firstly, I just realized I never posted Evelyn's sprite here, so here is the final character in MG who's getting a sprite:



Next, I've been working on backgrounds and GUI between writing the script. It's now starting to look like a game (still messing around with GUI and fonts):



Finally, I have a semi-tentative release date for the demo!



November 15th is the release date I'm aiming for! It's going to be uploaded on itch.io and contain the opening of the game and stops right where you'd pick the individual routes.

Hello everyone! It's been a while since I've updated on here (I've mostly been posting dev logs on itch.io and tumblr), but I've given the demo a small update! It now includes:

• Standard font and Open Dyslexic font selection

• Updated GUI

• A couple scenes extended between characters

• Main menu music
