Heileen android - testers wanted

#1 Post by jack_norton »

So, I managed to build Heileen on Android using RAPT tools. On my Asus EEE works perfectly, but of course I know there are 3021013 Android devices... so I'm looking for people with different devices to test the game. I really don't think it's playable on a phone, since I used high resolution even if I enlarged a bit the texts, but making it work on phones is not really my goal :)
Thanks

I can test it on an Acer Iconia 500, and see if it loads in a Galaxy Mini (who knows?)
Keep your script in your Dropbox folder.
It allows you to share files with your team, keeps backups of previous versions, and is ridiculously easy to use.

I'm using a Kindle Fire with CM7 port, android 2.3.7, this is probably a bad way to test but I just got into flashing about a month ago and I discovered/registered community recently.

This is my Rom:

If you have any suggestions as to what version of aneroid to test it on, let me know and Ill try and find a port or revert to basic kindle fire OS if needed

I've got an Xperia Mini Pro, which has a pretty tiny screen, so (based on what you said) it's probably not going to be very playable. On the other hand, I'm willing to give it a go if you want feedback on how it plays for people with some of the smallest screens (even for a phone) on the market...

Well at this point I made several other ports  I'd be more interested if anyone has at least a 7" device, if they want to test Planet Stronghold. I had to make some custom changes (smaller inventory for example) so could need some more testing!

I've got a Xyboard 10.1. I'd be willing to check it to see if it works, but I can't guarantee that I'll have enough time to do thorough bug testing.

Not really checking the forums any more due to time constraints, so if you want to contact me, PM. I'll get a notification and log in.
Also, I've been hit and run posting, which means I don't see many replies. If you want to respond to something I've said, also feel free to PM me.

NOTE: if you've got questions about vnovel or things like that, it's Leon that you should be contacting. Leon's been pretty much handling everything, but due to various reasons, I've had to withdraw entirely.

Hi,
this thread is very old :) I got many games tested already, and in general they all work fine. The only bugs found were due to people running lots of other apps in background, and since Ren'Py games uses lots of resources (well at least mine) could cause crashes. But in general they work pretty well on all the various devices.
