Errant Heart - Ready to Kickstart

This has been a long time coming, but Errant Heart is almost done. In fact, we are (hopefully) within 1-2 weeks of launching a Kickstarter in order to raise the funds needed to complete the game. As such, we've got a small demo that contains finalized content—from menus, lighting and sprite positioning system, to sprites, fonts and backgrounds. The only thing missing is music...which is a primary reason why we're launching a Kickstarter.

At any rate, as we can't test the Mac or Linux builds, we'd be most appreciative if the fine denizens of Lemmasoft could test out the demo and report anything out of the ordinary before we go live with the Kickstarter.

Windows Demo

Mac Demo

Linux Demo

Hope you enjoy, and thanks for your efforts.

And the Kickstarter is now live...

Please consider donating to our Kickstarter, if you're so inclined

I remember being very excited about this, and the feeling holds! The last demo I played intrigued me, so going to give this one a go.

(Also, moved your thread to the demo testing section.)

And a special thanks to Sake-bento who, should matters go well, will be providing us with the addition of partial or full voice acting!

And for those who might be really big into this new-fangled Facebook craze, we went ahead and created a Facebook account. We hope to use it to help spread awareness of Errant Heart and the Kickstarter. It'll be filled with sample and development images and such as the days wear on. I mean, it may as well provide people with a nice resource to browse through in exchange for their "likes" and other assistance.

Ah, seeing Errant Heart a few times somewhere, I wondered what it was. Those old over-three-years-old threads also made it sound like a serious long term development.

I wish you all good luck.

Thank you Pwisaguacate.

And I figured it'd be best to let everyone know that we've posted a new demo!

I feel like giving it a try. Is it posible or, since the Kickstarter has already begun I'm not longer allowed to play it?

The Kickstarter's funding period already ended last week. The demo links are still working.

It looks like it - a beta came out out a few weeks ago. They seem to be using Kickstarter for updates, mostly.

Thanks PyTom; I had missed the post-Kickstarter thread. I have now downloaded the new beta and had a quick look at it. I'm glad that the story is alive and progressing. A very ambitious undertaking, but I'm sure it will be worth the wait!
