Hand-drawn BG critiques (Sketch Only!)

#1 Post by tuna_sushi »

Just like the title says...
I would like to improve my hand drawn BGs. Any critiques?
*NOTE : this is only the sketch!
EDIT : Added air conditioner, air conditioner remote holder, rug, book, and computer.
EDITEDIT : Messier sketch, no line tool used.

Picture looks nice :) . However, not to sound mean or anything, but you should do something about the style.

If you're gonna sketch the picture, then you should stick with that for the whole thing. Using the line tool (At least I think it's the line tool) kind of draws the viewer's eyes to them, and it makes everything else look odd because of the inconsistencies.
Nothing to see here, folks. For now, anyway...

I think there's a nice amount of detail in the sketch; enough to make it an interesting background to look at and not too much to make it annoying to line and color. I feel as though right now it's too bare bones to offer any real critiqe until you begin to ink/color it, since my biggest complaint is the choppy-ness of the lines, but that's something you would have to fix by changing the way you approach sketching.
