... this is hard

I like no.1, but the eyes are too far apart from each other. no.2 is more proportionate in that the eye line is at half of the skull, but the eyes are a little too close to each other, and the eyes also look like they're about to run away from the face. With no.3, the eyes are way too close, and the head looks vertically stretched. :x

All in all, I think I like no.1 best.

If it’s a boy, number one.

Anyway, here is important knowledge on face proportion:
1) The blank between eyes is one eye width.
2) The length between the tip to eyes and eyes to the jaw is 1:1, or head part is larger than jaw part when it's a child or a girl (oh look at my avatar. the head is double sized XD)

Number one gives me a Miyazaki vibe, like how he draws his younger characters. I like it by far the most. 2's eyes are too big and 3 seems a tad vertical.

I say it depends entirely on what this is for. They each work in their own way.

They're all nice, but I'd pick 3. It might look a little thin when it's bare, but I think once you add hair it'll look perfect.

A little bit late, but I'd say 1 because:
2's eyes are too large, and 3's head is too skinny and slightly slanted.
1's eyes are a bit too far apart, but moving them slightly closer together will fix it. :0)

2 is the best-proportioned, but the eyes would be better a tad smaller.

No. 1 - it has a slight Spirited Away style which is quite refreshing, while the other two just have eyes which look way too close together. I'll take eyes far apart than close together any day.

I took some advice on proportion so I did the half skull and 1 eye between. What do you think?

The ears could be a bit bigger. Human ears usually reach from the eyebrows to the bottom of the nose. ;) I would suggest moving the mouth up a few centimeters as well. Also I love your avatar. What a good book series!

I think the eyes would be better either a little smaller or further apart than that.

Also, a very helpful trick when you start out drawing, and even farther after that, is to flip the image horizontally. That helps you figure out whether there are any symmetry errors/whether it suddenly looks weird and such.

Seconding this! Especially the flipping part. Though your face drawing looks symmetrical so I don't know how much help it will give.
