Re: Art Dumpage! Show your art ^^
Two images I made for a basic hidden objects game. (This is the first puzzle so it is meant to be easy).
Critiques on perspective are welcome. The flowers on the bedspread were hard and I still think they look weird.
EDIT: If you want to use wither of these in any of your projects, drop me a line and I'll send you the original files.
Susan

Re: Art Dumpage! Show your art ^^
I hope it's ok if I dump some Homestuck art here!
Something a Tumblr peep sketched and I colored. This was colored completely in Gimp.
This and the next painting were sketched in MS Paint, colored in MyPaint, and made transparent in Gimp. I've become quite fond of painting The Felt because the green is extremely fun to shade. I'm also aware Trace is missing his bowtie and buttons, I forgot to put them in :c

Fawn: I usually make a little "u" or "v" right between the collarbones.
As for the armpits, there should be some muscle under the arms and it makes one hold out the arms further away from the body. There was a timelapse posted to reddit a long time ago, and the first thing everyone noticed was how he went from slouching to his arms gradually kind of levitating out as muscle mass increased, lol.

Celestie: Thank you <3 LOL yup I'm a huge SS fan. But I actually hate the uniform because the details on it make me OCD. It's for a SS fan group so all our fan characters wear the uniform. xDDD;;
Fawn: The neck also looks a bit awkward to me. I think it's because there are not enough lines indicating what goes where. But overall it seems okay. It's actually his hands that bother me. He doesn't seem to have wrists in the natural pose, and how the hand goes under that folded arm looks unclear.
Here's another one from me. ouo;; Some of my own rejected designs for a character I was trying to create. Quick crappy colouring because I still have a mountain load of art to clear sdawhdw. OTL;;
And yes the bad engrish is intentional lol.

Good ol' Engrish! or fail!JapaneseEnglish~Elze wrote: And yes the bad engrish is intentional lol.
NO SERIOUSLY, I want to stalk you.
You call that simple coloring and it already looks awesome. Here I an still coloring ONE single character and it's only head and upper body and I fail already with many hours inclused. Granted, I am trying out coloring techniques thanks to tutorials because I have yet to find out what I'd like to use as technique the most or what looks the best that I can do myself. *ultimate fail*

Echoing that sentiment of "THAT'S quick?" Holy shit, I must be slow.
Elze: Masks? Do you using masking at all?

And here's a silly drawing of a knightress
(Yus, I know I'm missing some shading >_<)

Re: Art Dumpage! Show your art ^^
@EzzyAlpha: You bother with a background. I...don't. xD
I am ridiculously proud at now throwing a fit at this image because soemthing doesn't look good or right. While I KNOW there are tons of mistakes, especially on the shading part, it doesn't look as frustratingly stupid as many other attempts I did not too long ago.Like that one KagamineRin-Fanart I NEVER finished, and probably never will.
And although I am happy, I still think it's MAJOR FAIL. Especialyl becasue I never bothered with backgrounds. >.>
And now I am going to work on Kanata form Starry Sky. WHY ARE YOU SO DIFFICULT TO DRAW DAMNIT D:

A gift I made for my mom, now that it's her birthday... I hope she'll like it! ^_^
I was making it when she wasn't at home. I used the computer and told her I'm doing homework XD
NOTE: "Nanay" means "mother" in Tagalog.

But worth it

Re: Art Dumpage! Show your art ^^
It's really pretty - the girl looks so cute *A* And you shaded very well! Just, your hands :3 But then again, many great artists draw questionable hands and yours don't look as bad as...like, Umineko/Higurashi's sprites xDDD Mine look craptastic, too, I'll prove that when I finish my Starry Sky fanart xD
Hm, what tool did you use to color? I am curious, they make some nice effects~

Re: Art Dumpage! Show your art ^^
I'm glad you liked the shading~ I worked real hard to make this presentable for mom ;3
And I know about the hands... I really suck at drawing them :/ Yet thank you for pointing them out, I'll practice drawing them more.
I edited it with Photoshop CS2 using some filters (warming filters, some painter-y effects, a little smart blur and a bit sharpening of edges) and erased some unnecessary dots that suddenly appeared XD

Hmm, why not, it's been a while.
Color testing basically, my CG skills tend to flip flop between okay and actually nice. My cel-shading has improved a lot.
