I like how is eyes sort of mirror the shape of his glasses. Only thing looks off is his inner ear seems a little odd shaped (of course this is silly coming from me who often forgets what ears look like and just draws little random squiggly lines instead).

Oh my god. Do you have formal fine art training? Because this is beautiful, and you're very good at artistic anatomy.
She's sun and rain: She's fire and ice. A little crazy, but it's nice.
Bliss Stage: Love is your weapon! A sci-fi visual novel about child soldiers coming of age. Kickstarter prerelease here. WIP thread here. Original tabletop game by Ben Lehman here. Tumblr here.

LOL! XD
glad you think so- but drawing is something i do in my free time.
Learnt to draw by imitating sailormoon when i was kid and then probably helped by the fact i watched so much anime/Manga =) (Still cant find a easy way to Lineart and colour though Q.Q)

Today I decided to get some shading and posing practice, this is the end result:
Tinasa Blatchford: now with 20% more badass

Abe's original sketch made him look like he's a crack addict...

So, should I keep practicing or pick this style up more?
I have moved to a new account. Please contact me here from now on. T/Y~

Yes its a mechanical pencil X)
tips? hmmm - i usually sketch outlines really lightly then when i'm satisfied with parts i start making darker lines.
Usually looks better when u have light and dark lines.
Also once you've scanned the pencil sketch - run it through a few photoshop filters (play around untill you're satisfied)
contrast/brightness, Variations, Hue saturation...I also like to add a bit of diffuse glow - it really makes a difference ;)

By the way, I haven't colored the request yet; my tablet broke and I'm trying to have somebody fix it. XD
@Lumen_Astrum - thanks X) and thats ok take your time with the colouring

I find that shading will make it more painfull to colour later on but it usually does add more depth to it ;)
try pressing harder on some parts maybe for darker areas?
I think stick to any style you are satisfied with despite what other people say
But practice is always good ;)

I'm making this for a contest, though, I'm not really aim to win, but the theme is unique. And I just want to ask, how do you draw tears? I realized there's so many tutorials on how to draw eyes, but not for drawing tears. I only got a few of the tutorials..

Also, this theme is suppose to be orange. Any ideas? :'D

@HanaMori: Hmmm... tears... I'd like to draw some in the future. Tears don't supposed to be that visible I think. You might want to look for some references. For me, I'll just use white brush with a a few opacity to make some blurry line that looks like tears. You might want to put some transparency there.
You are bigger than what you think but smaller than you can imagine.

Yeah, you should JAM! Maybe I can use your picture as a reference as well! Hmm.. I'll try to do that.. I made does tears with only white brush tools with full opacity. What I know about tears for now is that, they made the eyes shines and the tears themselves are supposedly to be shiny. Thank you for the advice JAM!
