Well, if you're willing to fix it again, here's what I meant by more shadows, lol. (Unlit room.)Shalambay Shift wrote:I fixed it! (I hope it's the last time, but I still think it's a bit weird...)

It was a tiny change but I feel like otherwise the head looks like it's elongatedHijiri wrote: It took me awhile to see the change, Since I still haven't done anything on GIMP, I can still go back and fix the arm and hair.
Also, is that York?
ding ding ding! You win the prize
actually it's post-game Zach, but that's hard to tell with no color.

@heavyblade
Wow, that's amazing! oAo
Hope it's better! ;w; My sprites have really saturated colors, so it will probably be super... zing. OTL saturated colors are my enemy...

@heavyblade: I don't think you can resize images on here, gotta manually resize. :v
I like the colors/backlight thing.
@Shalambay Shift: Yeah, it's better! (Though yeah, your super saturated sprites look strange with a somewhat desaturated background, lool.)
For me, I always shift over to desaturated colors, so I try very hard to use saturated colors, lool.
Here's something I doodled a few moments ago. Lotsa mistakes, but I had fun. (inspired by the back-light from heavyblade's picture, lool) :v

That's pretty awesome that you're working on a free sprite setTetiel wrote:Flat colors for the new free sprite set. I think it's pretty obvious how much I love sweater dresses and ruffly clothing.

Ah thank you! ^///^"
@Shift-chan, you draw well! : D But as you said, you might be using a little too much saturation. Try adding a bit more darker shades to the sprite, and it'll look wonderful!
@Choco-kun: Wow, that looks awesome! I'm glad my back-light could inspire you. XD
I like how the piece is emotional. I'd love to see this again, after you've retouched it.
Plus, LinkxZelda ftw! <33

@heavyblade: Thanks! I wasn't planning on redoing it, but it scares me a lot. Here's a kinda better piece. (*´・v・)
I still need to study how to do lighting and stuff, orz.

This looks like fun, so I decided I'll jump in and join!
This isn't how I usually color, but I wanted to try something different, and it's the first thing I ever properly finished on my computer (Lol, that sounds so bad XD), but i might post next time I make something
Here is a link to a version with the proper resolution XD

It was a temporary gift for a friend of mine (It was supposed to be a self-portrait, but I just ended up making it a sort of fusion between her and myself XD)

Hahah thanks! I'm finally getting to an eye-style I like XD
Well, I've promised her a photorealistic (well, really just semirealism, but as close to a digitally painted portrait as possible) picture of herself.
But since I'm very new to realism/semirealism on computer (and in real life too), since I only began drawing digitally less than a year ago, and I never really colored my drawings before that either, it takes me a lot of time to make that.
So I decided to make her a slightly quicker one, she can use temporarily in a picture frame; which was meant for the portrait, until I get around to making the real portrait
