Thank you for the tip and nice illustration. I'm gonna try harder to make this scene look real. More branches, more crooked, more... I don't know what else yet... but it's gonna be different! oMo (puts on her professor cap)
more tapering towards the top if you'd like to use Sweet's example. Or heavy duty branching... or, if you're in the northern hemisphere... go out and take the picture of trees that you think looks good for you background. That always works.
or...if you don't have a decent camera, you could surf google with the words "large dead trees"
oookay. I think the advice paid off. That, and trance music. Not finished, but this is what I now have to work with. Thanks a lot for the advice guys!! You guys REALLY helped me out! >W<

Cheshire cat? I kid...I kid don't chase me with a knife! lol. And yeah, I draw with extracted RPG game music on...I swear they make me concentrate. I guess that's why RPG game music is RPG game music?
Anyway, I love how it looks now. Probably have the daylight 'glow' a bit yellowish/ivory coloured?
oh wait, it looked harsh because my screen brightness was down wayyy low.
Just a random drawing I did in science class. Ignore the pen on the back, I derped out and didn't realise the ink would leak through. And the Medicine Seller, from Mononoke, cos I wanted to post two.
EVEN IF THE TENDONS OF MY THUMBS TEAR INTO NOTHINGNESS, EVEN IF I GO NEARSIGHTED FROM STARING TOO HARD AT THE SCREEN, EVEN IF MY BODY IS CLOSE TO COLLAPSE FROM THE 72 HOURS I HAVE GONE WITHOUT FOOD! I WILL DEFEAT YOU!
@Tag-
We seem to share the same problem. I struggle with hair a lot, especially if it's a guy I'm trying to draw.
I have to say you're much better at hair design than me. Also light hair + tan + yellow eyes = instant nosebleed! you've just discovered my weakness
I'm really trying to get better at BGs, but it's hard.

One layer painting, huh? I can't even imagine why anyone would do that if they could avoid it >_> It looks like you focused on Kyubey first and added the buildings as an afterthought. Still, pretty nice stuff!
@Daistarir- they are both boys.
@CheeryMoya- yea pretty much im trying to make the background nicer since its not my strong point to do backgrounds. one layers are hard but they can be faster than layers once you get the hang of it.
