Art Dumpage! Show your art ^^
Re: Art Dumpage! Show your art ^^
@Ekamu: Haha, sorry for confusing you, yes, that's what I was aiming for. Also, I'm trying to make it look more realistic and Western-ish. Recently, I changed my drawing tool from Sai to openCanvas since I don't feel comfortable with Sai. So far, I'm fine with openCanvas.
@Didules: Ah, most of my works are traditional so it's why I don't want to put it online. I didn't want to color because I don't feel comfortable with my style before. I found something I draw in third grade, like five years ago and it was so funny that make me want to that meme, I saw it alot but never tried. Thank you for provide it for me.
That's great to hear since I'm desperately don't want my style to look like manga. Thank you again.

\(^o^)/ Thank you so much! I fixed it up AND learned a quick way to check folds from photos.

@Ekamu: Also there's one more detail that you may have passed over. If you look at your photo reference a bit more carefully, you'll notice that the girl's shorts are well... short. That means you may have to lengthen her torso and her shirt as well.

Thanks MaiMai I made the shorts shorter but
Usually no one (players) really notices these small things but they make a big difference in the overall picture.
Its a bit tricky making the torso longer so I'm leaving it as it is. I also fixed her left eye, it was a little bit lazy.

And for the drawer it makes a difference That maybe why I tend to color every single thing with 2 layers of shadows and one of light, whether it is a head or...a small button on a shirtEkamu wrote:Usually no one (players) really notices these small things but they make a big difference in the overall picture.

@Armee: Reminds me a little bit of Doomfest's (not sure if spelled right) art, mostly because of the linework.
@Ekamu: I think her thighs are too short compared to her crus (fancy).

You knocked at the right door, my friend! I had a problem with her legs and one arm, here is the thing: (blue is critique, green is positive stuff and red is just the lines of your drawing because I couldn't see well after adding blue and green XD)Vialixia wrote:Haven't done any art in ages. BTW, there is something else but I guess it's about style: she's got wide shoulder. That's okay, she just doesn't seem fragile and it lessens her "feminine aura", you see? She's got long legs, but again, it's a matter of style since it doesn't disturb the drawing, she's just a bit skinny.
That would be all~!

Don't worry, I think that yours is better because you saw things I didn't and give advices while I just tried to correct ^^" Maybe with both we'll be more useful BTW what is a red-line?chocojax wrote:@Didules: omg im sorry you did a red-line while i just did a bunch of info so yours is awesome!!)

Re: Art Dumpage! Show your art ^^
Holy crap you two draw fast. I made a redline myself since what bothered me the most was the torso and legs (although as a result I might have made her curvier than intended). But like in Didule's correction, there should be an indication that you know where your pelvis is so that your legs can make sense when you draw them.

Red-line or red-lining is when you draw over the original picture with fixed errors/showing the errors rather than talking about them. :V (And what MaiMai did loool)Didules wrote:Don't worry, I think that yours is better because you saw things I didn't and give advices while I just tried to correct ^^" Maybe with both we'll be more useful BTW what is a red-line?chocojax wrote:@Didules: omg im sorry you did a red-line while i just did a bunch of info so yours is awesome!!)

Re: Art Dumpage! Show your art ^^
I see! I didn't know that, thank you!! And yeah, we were 3 on that drawing XD I wasn't the only one taken by the speed of another! But in the end, MaiMai decided to use the right arm as tje reference for proportion whereas we wanted to correct it, I didn't even think of this... How unexpected! I'm learning a lot of thing!chocojax wrote:Red-line or red-lining is when you draw over the original picture with fixed errors/showing the errors rather than talking about them. :V (And what MaiMai did loool)
Re: Art Dumpage! Show your art ^^
This is amazing help! Thank you so much everyone, I haven't done art in a long time so forgetting this kind of rules happens a lot. I'll fix it and repost, thanks again!
