2 of 4 characters in my WIP VN
Is there anything to be fixed from the art? I'm open at suggestions.
Note: Seems that the VN is delayed. My editor is quite hard to get contact at.

chisa-chan: looks good to me. If you want to be picky, try moving the nose a bit for the guy with white hair, to the right. Also, using digital outlines would fix those slightly shaky lines (probably caused by bleeding ink.)
How do you make your games? I see. Thank you for the prompt replies, but it is my considered opinion that you're doing it wrong inefficiently because I am a perfushenal professional. Do it my way this way and we can all ascend VN Nirvana together while allowing me to stroke my ego you will improve much faster. Also, please don't forget to thank me for this constructive critique or I will cry and bore you to death respond appropriately with a tl;dr rant discourse of epic adequately lengthy proportions. - Sarcasm Veiled in Euphemism: Secrets of Forum Civility by lordcloudx (Coming soon to an online ebook near you.)
Re: Art Dumpage! Show your art ^^
Art dumpage my favorite!
I just wanted to practice this style because Cel-shading gets boring.
This thing crashed on me like 10 times. Seriously. I was just very very persistent. It took me 3 days or so, but if you count all the times I had to start over because of shitty Painter, It would be more like a week.
Both Photoshop + Painter. Painter for mostly clothes and skin. Photoshop for accessories and hair. ^^ (hair thanx to Merekat's tutorial! I never could get it right on my own)
I havne't done this style too much though so I'm not very good at it yet.. everything looks... not together? wahtever the word is.
^ the bling bling looks good only when its zoomed in...
I'm still working on the game... I'm half way done after working on it halfassed for two years. sigh. haha perhaps I'll finish it this summer?

Wow...that's in an entirely different league altogether
That's the sort of Vargas / Vallejo / Sorayama hyper-realistic style I admire.
Although, spending 3 days per picture will not help your visual novel get completed
I hope you stuck with that old style I saw many months back, for the game at least.

Oh my, aside from the PS-brush-grass in a few places, that bg is like... Godly! GODLY!
And yeah hi, I'm back for the moment.

"Mary's Revenge"? I don't know about that... I mean, having a parody of the demo game is one thing, but I kinda like "Moonlight Walks".

Awesome Light-kun
This something that I feel really stupid to ask, but how on earth does one get smooth sketchy lines of varying line thickness on the computer? I know this can somewhat be done with the pen tool in photoshop, but the result will not be sketchy.
This sketchy concept-art style is a trait of Japanese style... it looks hand-drawn because of the super-smooth strokes, and yet it feels so clean that I doubt it is entirely hand-drawn.
Or is it just inked on paper then touched up on computer?

I suppose you're talking to me?XD that's not Raito, but now that you mention it he does look like him O_O(he was actually meant to look like some kind of evil Ganondorf/Link fusion bishounen). This particular picture was sketched entirely on Painter, i like Systemax Sai's likes better though...ehr, I think i get that kind of lines on paper as well though.DaFool wrote:Awesome Light-kun

The varying thickness is achieved with my lovely tablet, you can actually get that kind of lines in Photoshop as well if you play around with your brush settings.

Re: Art Dumpage! Show your art ^^
kind of wonder if mugenjohncel is planning to do something with Moonlight Walks? Seems the latest things are from Moonlight Walks...(yeah, I agree that the pictures look like Mary from Moonlight Walks too)
