Re: Art Dumpage! Show your art ^^
@nero279: looks good, I don't think you'll have any trouble getting commissions

Here's a render of a globe I was working on for a WIP BG which I've just returned to D: Sometimes if I think a model has turned out particularly well I just render it by itself so that I feel my effort was justified!
This is the WIP BG in question, with the globe on the left. (Both images link to bigger versions!)

^ Thank you! And your backgrounds look amazing as usual, I love the variety of colours you have in them :3
And I finished the CG! My lack of background drawing skills ruined the whole picture though, and I was simply rushing to finish so I basically threw up whatever I could hAhAhAAH :'D I must practice more- that or I shall steal some backgrounds for once I actually make real in game CGs.

@nero279- Wow! That CG is amazing! I love the background
@didules- I love the soft shading on your pic, especially her hair
I've been rewatching the Bleach anime again lately, so it's taken up most of my warm up sketch time. This one took longer than it should have!
It's be a long, long time since I've drawn in very anime style, even longer since I coloured in such harsh cel shading, so it's not at the level I would have liked Still, it's always good to practice different styles, right? And I have to remember to let sketches just be sketches!

Thanks, actually I tried to apply some of the techniques of this video, but in the end... it's a bit of a failure X'DHarliqueen wrote:@didules- I love the soft shading on your pic, especially her hair

@Nero, Love your colouring style! It's very pretty~
Something I did for Asylum Jam Original character design isn't mine, I just made the sprite in one of my styles.

@Auro-Cyanide - Always love your stuff, but that sprite is seriously awesome Love the colouring of her eyes.
I'm still on a kick of trying out different styles of colouring and drawing, plus I'm having fun doing some fan art again! (Let's just pretend I didn't get lazy and completely forget his arm wraps!)

@Harliqueen: Wow, this looks amazing! You captured the style of Hakuouki perfectly! My favourite was always Souji, though~
Trying out a heavy outline style for my Asexual/Aromantic friendly visual novel project.
Still a heavy WiP, but I would appreciate comments on the style itself. Is it unique enough to draw people in?
What kind of texture could you see being used with this style or should I keep it simple?
*cough* What even ARE fingernails? We just don't know. *cough*

Re: Art Dumpage! Show your art ^^
@Harliqueen, Thank you! I had quite a lot of fun drawing her XD Your Harada looks great as well!
@Cirrocumulus-Cloud, I think if you are going to go for heavy shadows then the rest of your lineart needs to be quite strong too. I think you colours as well could afford to be a little stronger and I would get rid of the gradient and go basic hard cell shade.
I think The World Ends With You might be a good source of inspiration

Re: Art Dumpage! Show your art ^^
@Auro-Cyanide: Thank you for your comment! I was actually inspired by the style of TWEWY to begin with (I LOVE that art style) but I tend to be a little 'shy' overall when it comes to outlines. It is only my second try to 'imitate' this style, after all. I can always try to be a little more colourful, though! Do you think the simple cell-shade style would look better overall? I try to implement both - gradient and hard cell-shade, but I don't know if that would look good in the end.

Practising different styles while keeping the same workflow, from more cartoony to more realistic and "painterly".
Artist and voice actor, trying to actually write stuff.
