Lineart for a part of a picture I'm working on.
I wish my hand drawn lines weren't as sloppy, so I wouldn't have to spend hours on cleaning them >_o;
When drawing something, anything, USE REFERENCES!! Use your Google-fu!
Don't trust your memory, and don't blindly trust what others teach you either.
Research, observation, analysis, experimentation and practice are the key! (:

Ooh Deji, it looks great! When you do lineart by hand, do you ink it and then scan?
I like your character as well, Cybeat, but I kind of think there should be some lines/shadow to indicate his arms.
Here are some of my wips/experiments. Opinions are very much appreciated, since lately I don't know what to do about my drawings..

I like the shades in your character's hair. I didn't master that technique yet. I forgot to draw line for my character's arm.

Wow, I wish my lineart looked as clean as the others here. >_< Coloring is so much easier for me than lineart. ^_^;;
Mirena, I get the feeling that you're a little bit wary about shading your characters, as if you'll add too much when you put the shadows in. The highlights are great (especially the hair), but I think the characters would have more depth if you were more liberal with your use of shadow, particularly on the skin.

Deji, she's so cute! Her arms are a little long, considering the perspective and the angle of her hands, though. But besides that, it's so cute and pretty~ (.... Wait, that's 'sloppy'?!)
I agree with sake-bento about your use of shadows, Mirena. There should be more! For Wip1, the shadows should be more dramatic; they look really similar to the original base color, and so she looks really shiny.
Cybeat, I really like the Masayuki one. He's so cute. xD I like his eyes better than the recent one where you've outlined the whites of his eyes too. I really don't like the shading on Kid's jacket. I think it'd look better with harder shades like the ones on his collar and his hair. There's also some white space in the teeny spots- you should get rid of those.
Humm, here's my drawing. It's just a doodle, though-- I'm trying to figure out good color schemes and clothing designs for this character. Earthy/Autumn-ish colors seems really nice so far, but his clothing designs really need more work....
Arg, guys' clothes are so much harder to design than girls' because there are so many limits to what they can wear. ;-;

Kind of reminds me of Kunikida from TMOHS. It's probably the blue blazer. But nice drawing!

@ akemicchi:
Thanks. From now on, I won't outline eyes. I suck at shading.
@ Blue123:
I watched a small part of TMOHS, but I've never seen Kunikida. I looked him up. Yeah, my character does look like him....a bit.

Here's a fast drawing. I used very little effort on the grass and the tree.
