Last night, I was teaching my students (more like "see this? now do it yourself. GO!") how to make mock-ups for their game project(s).
So while they worked with pen an paper and/or photoshop/sai, I made my own mock-up :')

This... may be used at a later date for something... yup...
Also I hate myself because I'm still behind with AJ CGs and that's the only thing preventing it from being released in public :'D

Just a little update.
chocobo tv.jpg
Next time I show this will be in my drawing thread, completed. Going slowly with this one as I'm getting distracted with a searing pain in my mouth (dentist had a tough time removing the tooth as it had fused with my jaw.)

I changed the position of his eyes. It was a bit off for me before.

Wow, hun, you're really getting better!
Please keep up the good work, it looks great. :>

This looks sooo adorable!
Students? :< (Now I'm curious.)
Off-topic: I started reading 2Dartist--guess who I found in early 2006. <3

Thread
Still playing around with the drawing style for 1plus3 to get used to it.
(I also changed the lineart.)
Since such a cooking scene is typical for Fortune and Mendel, I might make this into an CG one day.
And they still wonder why nobody ever comes for dinner.
But now back to plotting. x_X

@Deji: Nice design! And I haven't seen you around here very much lately (maybe i've just missed you?) but what's this about students I hear? :O
------
Anyways I've been working a lot lately on the visual novel teams I'm a part of and I'm not sure I can post that up before those games are released so I'll just post up something I drew up randomly while I was playing with colors...

That looks really nice, especially with the perspective looking up at their faces.

Uh, isn't that backwards? :D Regardless, the skies look sweet.

@Endorphin
Nice use of colors paired with the odd perspective. They work together well.

@latte
Lovely colors! They do look like fun once you get the hang of 'em.

Testing out some different colouring styles. I would be happy to hear people's opinions \(^u^)/

I personally love the second one best, all those details ^^
However the other coloring styles look very good too, especially the third one.

It's really gorgeous! I'd like to see how you've done it. Maybe you can try speed painting next time!

Nawwww, thank you all. Glad that you like it. :>

Auro
I like the second one. :>
Though the skin colour's kind of dull, so a bit more colour (overlays, yay /shot) might make it more interesting.
Good work, hun!

@Auro
1: Nice, but doesn't do your skills at shading justice.
2: Feels a bit muddy in the face and white shirt region; putting red in the shadows there just makes it look sloppy as opposed to the light bouncing around.
3: The colors in this are very nice. The skin really pops, and his hair looks much nicer with a warm light brown highlighting it instead of a cool one. The white shirt looks very nice; the hood's shading looks a little lazy compared to 2's shading. The backlight works very well here, since it's a sort of blueish/greenish feeling color that contrasts his skin well.
4: Soft shading also doesn't do your shading skills justice. Maybe if there were some harder edges in there.
5: Good colors. The hair isn't as nice as it is in other styles.
6: Is that a slight gradient over him? it's nice but looks quite flat and one again doesn't do your shading justice.
