Trying to draw without thinking too much. Drew a few faces with expressions, trying different positions... I mean, bodies are HARD, so I draw mostly faces. I should at least do those varied and well then.

I'm not ready to start a wip for my VN yet. I'm writing the story into renpy and doing backgrounds at the moment. I've posted one of the backgrounds I've made and then a screenshot when I've put it in the game. I've included the sprite to see if the two go together okay, I thought they did. The sprite's face is not painted up yet (I have different expressions) but I think I may need to paint him down to the thighs and push him up a bit.

@Endorphin (Sry for late reply >__>) I wasn't sure if this was to me, but thanks if it was! XD Well, the VERY smooth blending is mostly just the watercolor tool in Sai sooo, it is a brush (sorry XDDD) yeah, my eyes are still VERY MUCH style-in-developement XD I keep on changing them, but I'll keep in mind to try and get them lighter, thanks for the tip!

Lesleigh, the background has a few issues with perspective. That is, if you look at the table on the far-left and were to glide it into the background, it'd turn out to be the largest piece of furniture. The character on the foreground looks like he couldn't even properly sit on any of those chairs, and like he'd be about equal height as the TV's at were he to stand next to it. Maybe even a bit smaller. I'd definitely recommend pushing him up a bit so he doesn't look as short.


Chocojax told me how to shade, so I figured I'd try it out a bit. Then halfway my friends made me DOTA. orz

Looks awesome, man!! Another thing is, the face curves like a ball, so there should be shade around that area too, right? A thing to help with that is to think about how the ear isn't on the same level as the front of the face, but turns at a 90 degree angle, like a box. Otherwise, gj i prod of u but pls cursive

And you're right, the right side of her face should also be shaded. Well, at some point you just have to do-or-die, since giving up would be criminal. I considered giving up about three times through. :D Was gonna flat colours. (Btw get on Skype I'm lonely ;_;)

Thanks for the feedback Applegate.

Lines were coming from a photo ref I was using except I added the TV+cabinet, little table and lounge into the pic. Big table even looked weird in the photo (but at the same time I kinda liked it). Guess the lens they used may have distorted things or I've missed a step at the end of the table, hmmm maybe the rest of the room's sunken. Will definitely make the sprite taller. Thanks again.
