I'm about to throw a complete hissy fit over how slow I've gotten because I haven't been doing art often enough. Getting back into things is so painful.

Drew the 'ORDER' route characters for AC. This actually took longer than expected, had to redraw it twice ;_;

Try doing the base colours first, it will help you know where to go from there. Then focus on your light source. There are a lot of walkthroughs on deviantart that are to do with shading etc. You might find them useful.
I tend to use a large marker to do most of my colouring. Colour in the base, then at the top use a lighter shade of the same colour, and go over the bottom with a dark colour that is on the opposite side of the colour wheel. Still, that's just what I do. I sometimes use the airbrush to give a better gradient.

Drawing food is one of my favourite things, becuase instead of drawing something 'cool' or 'cute' (ect.), I get to draw something 'tasty', which doesn't happen often, haha.
