Here's a fast example why you should never use solely multiply layers when colouring, to people who are starting with CG. (Multiply layers are often the thing recommended in tutorials, though with inexperienced CG skills it just gives the whole image a very dim/murky look, which I hate).

Precentages= Layer opacity
N= Normal Layer
M= Multiply Layer
L= Luminosity Layer
