I was thinking about how some of my characters would fair when it comes to Valentines day. I then started to think about poor Li. Like many people, she has no one there for her.

Sometimes to get that warm fuzzy feeling inside you, It need not come from another person. If Valentines day is a pinnacle of showing your feelings, could we not broaden our horizons? Say you have a person in your life, Why have only one day a year to show your love? You should show your love for them everyday. Why not use that one day a year for something you have neglected in your life?

Li has her books. The worlds she truly believes in, is what is printed on the pages in the books that surround her every day. So she will do what she does, she will read. But, on this day she will take herself to a world that will leave her elated. The least she could do today is make herself happy.

I hope you can post your work! I don't think anyone would mind if you submit a simple doodle or a complete drawing. The whole purpose of this thread is to just have fun while drawing anyway. And like chocojax said, it's nice to see how different artists deal with the same theme ^^
