Hey guys, I found an amazing website for anime-ish headshots:
http://www.rinmarugames.com/game/?game_id=421
(if used, credit Rinmaru and PrinceOfRedroses)
I'm trying to get them as transparent PNGs, but it saves as a JPG (and I've actually started screenshotting it, then cropping to save it as a PNG )
and no matter how hard I try, I can't have it as transparent without destroying the whole picture T-T
I have Photofiltre and the free version of Serif PhotoPlus Starter Edition.
Help? T-T

Re: Assistance on turning images into transparent PNGs.
I usually use GIMP for that work, and here's how, in seven easy steps:
1. Open the pic in GIMP.
2. Use your Magic Wand tool to select the area AROUND the headshot (you may need to adjust the Wand's finetuning to get it right).
3. Invert your selection.
4. Copy the now-selected part of the screen into a new image. Note that it is now in the middle of a transparent field.
5. Manually delete those last white pixels the Magic Wand tool didn't get right.
6. Save the image as a PNG.

I use GIMP also.
To select the desired area you can use the scissors tool. With a bit of patience you can get the correct pixels.
