Hello All!
I was wondering if you all might help me brainstorm what all are the various possible composite facial elements you'd need to get the most variety of emotions when live compositing.
This is what I've got so far:
Eyebrows: Neutral, Angry, Sad, Happy, Surprised, One Eyebrow Cocked & the other down
Eyebrow Questions: Are there arrogant eyebrows? Tired eyebrows?
Eyes: Neutral, Angry, Sad, Closed, Surprised, Lidded, Looking down, Happy
Eyes: Am I missing any obvious eye options?
Mouth: Neutral, Smile, Half-Smile (both sides), Frown, Pout, Shock, Gritted Teeth/Anger, Yelling
Mouth: Am I missing any obvious mouth options?
Are there any other things I might be missing maximum variety?

Re: Catalogue of Facial Composite Bits
I generally have things like:
Eyes: Normal, Wide, Half, Closed, ^ ^, Glance, Downcast, Tears for both normal and ^ ^.
Mouth: Normal, Open, Smile, Grin, Yell, Pout, Gritted, Oh, Slightly open
Eyebrows: Normal, Raised, Lowered, Upset, Skeptical, Confused
And then I take away any not relevant to a particular character or add in some that are, like sticking out tongue or something like that.
I've found this gives me a lot of variation, probably more than I need usually!
I didn't reuse any of the pieces for these for example and I've already covered quite a range.

Euro-Cyanide, you examples are great! Could I ask for clarification?
On the eyes, what are ^^? Is that happy?
For eyebrows, is upset sad or angry?
For eyebrows, what do skeptical and confused look like?

Re: Catalogue of Facial Composite Bits
I figured it would be easier to do this since I left some off and it's rather hard to explain these in words XD The ones with orange dots aren't super common for all sprites, and some times there are other ones I do that aren't here either, but this is the general overview. I tend to vary a little character to character. Sometimes I have 'Angry' eyebrows and 'Furious' Eyebrows is a character is angry a lot XD
