So here is my second attempt to use Manga Studio. I still haven't figured out how to use mask or clip layers. But I'll get there!
This is also my first attempt ever to do coloring. Because all my back in the day art was comic book penciling and inking...any sort of "color" was zipatone screens. But I'm learning!

Anyway, here is my take on loss.

@Hazel-Bun: Your soldier looks very much like an Ancient Roman soldier, and he is quite handsome.
@Anne: I love the texture of your image as well as the impressionistic nature of it.
@Didules: I love the boldness of your lines, the expression in the eyes...and I also really like they way you gradated the background from light to dark.

Am I still in time? I hope so D:

I wanted to make something with colour for these weekly drawings, and I'm trying out other styles and stuff, so... nice chance here. Now I only need to spend more than half an hour on this things and it'll get actually cool.

Sorry I'm so late! How about... "Poem"? This should give some interesting ideas, if used well!

So here is my inspiration for poem.

I tried different coloring tools...I'm still experimenting with the software, and still trying to get my drawing muscle back. This is a rough sketch, without measuring proportions or using a reference...but weekly drawing gets to be loose, right? And if I draw every week I will get better.

What is our next theme?

Does this count as a poem?

We need a theme for this week and since is it Wednesday already and no one else has put one forth...I'll put one up.

Since the location is so popular, I figured it might get us more submissions this week: HIGH SCHOOL!

I can't post a picture this week because I have to do class prep...classes start this week and I have to finish my syllabi. And since no one else has posted anything, how about we keep the High School theme for this coming week. Maybe we'll get more people participating?

C'mon, I know all you LSF'ers love your Japanese High School Moe sorts of images!

I have an idea for a drawing...and hopefully I can start to work on it after my class prep is done.

It's still a whole day left (as someone who does things at the last moment I feel it's a bit discouraging to assume that no one's going to post)
I actually also think it's better to change the theme in case it wasn't inspiring enough (we don't know maybe people just didn't have time this week but still...) unless you really want to do it?
