I had a couple of people ask me for the process for making my backgrounds.

So I wrote a tutorial (long, it's in four parts) for painting an interior.

Covers using this reference photograph... To create this 2d painting... Part A covers making the lineart/sketch... Part B cover painting flat surfaces using lines, fills and gradients... Part C finishes off the rest of the large surfaces in the kitchen... Part D covers textures and adding details...
