Can you past it there? I found that most of people really like voltage kind of guys for otome games. I really like that way of drawing:

Or old fairytale style:

What style do you like the most? :)

Anything that looks like what AI pictures would make will sell.
The styles we like will never sell unless it's mainstream. To say you like something else would only be surviving a nish market, there for you must be as pretty but generic as possible.…or is that too cynical of a stance?

Well... You never know actually what will sell.;)
It is safe to go with things that we know are selling but you never know what people will find interesting. Some games are hit whitout being typical and mainstreem. I didn't really ask about what will sell too. I feel like I want to know favourite art styles comparing to what you actually can draw(or style that you draw). And since most of us in this part of forum draws...

Personally I think it depends on the audience.

I find that a younger audience of females (I based this on all my other female friends who play otoge and GxB dating sims) prefer the anime bishounen style because it really entices them. For me however, I normally play VNs and otoges with a various range of art styles, ranging from cartoon-type to very semi-realistic. I still end up preferring the anime/manga stylized design because it's what I easily get used to.

But as long as people find something interesting I think they'd be willing to try something out regardless of the art presented. :)

I care not about the style but whether this style fits and looks good. I can easily like a style in one game but don't when used in another game because it doesn't fit in the setting or genre. What works in a slice of life shouldn't be used in a gritty fantasy, f.e. But the genre doesn't immediately decide upon the one style it should have either.

With the four fairy tale images you gave, I can see these work for certain stories but also have great restrictions. Based upon stories I've read before but can't remember the names of this style does not work well for sprites with varying expressions. You can use them in stories that use almost exclusively CGs but that would be very demanding of your art budget.

I like style cohesion. When the GUI matches the art style, and the art style matches the tone. If one element is leagues above the rest of the art, it tends to stick out. I also enjoy when there are multiple little tweaks to expressions, rather than four set expressions. I enjoy different outfits, and this all builds into an asset-heavy art style. It's not required, but I do really enjoy when I see that in VNs.

Art styles at large I enjoy; Stephen Silver, Butch Hartman, Glen Keane, Snotgirl (Leslie Hung/dairyfree). I don't mind anime/manga inspired styles, but I don't default to that myself. I prefer strong silhouettes, expressions and bright colors. High contrast, textured... Overall, stylized realism, I suppose? It's hard to pinpoint.
