Hi, I'm trying any method to create background quickly, the try sketchup, blender, 3dsmax and if someone missed the new ZPR BPR filters, I suggest you go and watch them. I do it short: I wouldn't want to miss some nice software or a method I don't know,
my question is - Do you know any methods to create fast backgounds with an acceptable quality? if so how? -

we create a thread with the best techniques to create background fast and possibly easy.
the attaches to photo of the style i try to replicate, but each style is valid :)

For building interiors I like to use Sweet Home 3D. It has a huge library of furnitures, but the render from the software isn't great; I'll suggest to export the scene to a other software (Blender for exemple) or use it as a base for tracing.
Speaking of tracing, I like to do that over photos or montages to get all the elements I want. Apply some filter to a photo is also a must for fast and decent backgrounds.

Most of the time I just model a quick scene in Blender, since I don't need detailed texture or models.

Good luck with your project !

As unexpected an answer as it seems, photographs are probably the quickest way to make a background of the detail you're looking for.

Some filtering and effects can really make a photo look stunning.

Of course, it all depends on both your camera quality and whether you even want to use photos in your project.

I have been trying to do things "fast and easy" lately as well and the best method I found was creating the model in SketchUp, rendering in Lumion or Vray, and adding filters on Photoshop to increase contrast and add overlay textures. I'd tried many things before, like using photos, but never got the result I wanted. With this method and a little bit of practice I have been able to make something like this in around 5 hours:

If using photos, and trying to go for a slight painter like look, using programs such as https://fotosketcher.com/ or applying median blurs artistic filters, anisotropic filters, if creating a commercial game be sure to check copyright license of photo, when I'm pressed for time I might use resources from sights like pixabay. https://pixabay.com/ I would recommend editing instead of just using photos straight. Also sweethome3d can import .dae collada files. I've heard of people using the sims game for backgrounds, that sounds like a copyright problem waiting to happen.
