I've been working on a character creator to export character images to be used in game engine such as Ren'Py. I haven't gotten a lot of traction and I'm wondering if you'd be interested in using it if I were to add manga style faces for the characters?
Any and all feedback would be appreciated.

BTW The sprites are free to use for free games and there's an affordable price for a commercial license.
I hope this web app can be of use to some of you.
Would you use the Character Creator if it had manga style faces?

I don't mean to speak for the masses, but I think a lot of us do use the "manga" style art, so that would be a decent idea if you are trying to have sites like this one as your users.

I'm going to have to say a no, but not out of dislike.
If I'm making a game with my own characters in it, then I would want those characters unique to my game, and not made out of stock artworks that just anybody can reuse.
That being said, I would use it for place holder art, but then it wouldn't matter what face types you included as I'd be replacing the art at some point anyway.

No. If you can justify creating art that's inspired by one specific creator, maybe. I would recommend against creating assets which resemble a category of pop culture art that's existed for at least seventy years, and has multiple demographics.
That said, I didn't know this program existed, or that you had a Patreon. I might support it soon.

It's great that you got a domain like that!
I say go for it!
people are gonna look at the site with that name, and expect many options.
The more the merrier! Probably other styles for many body types will sell even better But yeah that might sound like a lot of work.

Thanks for the feedback everybody! it looks likes it's 2 for 2 in the replies, so I guess I'll hold off on that until I get more interest. I hope you find use in it, even if it's for temporary assets before you get custom art!
For now I'll keep adding items and features, growing it slowly.
