Ren'py Web can sometimes be slower than traditional implementations. When I was playing the Web version of the tutorial, I noticed several instances where the art would be pixellated for a second as the art loaded. I know web can be slower, but I want to try my hand at Web games with Ren'py, and need to optimize the images so they aren't pixellated. I'll be loading new images frequently, so the pixelation will become obvious.
What low-level tricks and high-level strategies can I use to optimize the images for Web?

Re: Optimizing Art for Ren'py Web?
Since internet speeds around the world and in different areas vary, there's no fool-proof method of removing interlacing or lag related to image loading.
I do know that there exists a way for preloading images rather than having images start loading the first time they're called on stage. You'll have better answers from the programming side of Lemmasoft if you want to go this route.
